This reply is a bit late but both Maou and Ouroboros are really good. Maou is a remake of The Devil/Lucifer (Korean) which is also really good.

One Million Stars Falling from the Sky is my all-time favorite drama. Kimura Takuya was AMAZING in that drama. He plays the bad boy so well that I always root for him even when he (his character) is in the wrong.

Oh my goodness! I was sooo disappointed with both endings for the couples. I guess the director wanted it to be more "realistic" but I don't really watch dramas/movies for realism. I hope the movie provides a better resolution.

I look at them when I am skimming through the list of upcoming dramas. I don't really pay attention to the actual content of the poster so much as I do the mood. I like darker shows so I look for posters with a dark mood. Then I read the synopsis to see if the show sounds interesting.

Forgot the movie Killers*. It is very gory though. As is Lesson of Evil.

I don't watch a lot of C-drama so I can't comment. For Jdrama/movie, I'd recommend: Maou, Joker Yurusarezaru Sousakan, Jiu (it's the titular character)*, Lesson of Evil*, Rurouni Kenshin (esp. Soujiro Seta* in The Legend Ends), Ouroboros, Confessions, and any Death Note drama/movie. In almost all of these the lead character is the villain. The ones with stars by them are the only ones that are really crazy. The others have perfectly good reasons why they chose to do bad things. I think Lesson of Evil is the one closet to what you are looking for. Hope it helps!
