Well, no, I don't like to cry either. But then, I'm not a crier in general. I haven't cried while watching SG. However, I like it when my heart stops for a second or two... this is my idea of romance - I know, it's a little weird, lol.
I'm now curious what you will think of You are beautiful. :) Personally, I enjoyed it more than MGIAG, it's less cheesy, although I still believe it's overrated.
But it's definitely entertaining.

I'm watching it too! I am only on episode 3, but it sure is hilarious. :D

I have. The first season is a blast. Then comes the second, which, instead of answering any question, opens new ones. Then comes the third and I seriously wished I could migrate to Jupiter. I left it at that and never saw the ending. I couldn't cope with the absurdity anymore. :P
The one I TRULY wanted to continue watching was Flash Forward, which had a very gripping plot and a fantastic cast, but - alas! - they stopped at season one without an ending or a continuation. Low audience thing. :S
Grrrrr

I can understand her, actually. I am not a lover of typical rom-coms either, I need angst. I have dropped tons of popular Korean romcoms because I find them too cheesy.
Secret Garden is not an average romcom, it's more of a passionate romance with a lot of genuine laughter, that's why it's my all time favourite romance.
And since it ulimately depends on me, my mom will never come in touch with any Hong Sister's or the like. LOL
*I apologize if you are a fan of them. I can't help expressing my anti-fanism now and then. ;)

I loved it! I know you told me to watch it before, and the time was just right: I was in need of some surrealistic poetry.
The love is mutual, lol. ;)

Watching with mum is a pretty new experience for me too. I've tried before, but she was deterred by the subs. However, after the first - King 2 Hearts - she was so enthusiastic there's no stopping her anymore. Sure it is not easy to choose the right things to show her: she would be bored too by the typical rom com.
If the ritual goes on, after SG I'll encounter a true empasse. :P

I wish I could come, but I fear it's... ehm... a little far, with or without the ferry. I love open air representations and concerts, so I truly wish you a big success! People may stay and sleep on the coast.
Good advertising and ganbatte!!! :D

I agree with you: Tae Kyung or Keong or whatever the male lead's name, has nothing positive to speak for him and I don't think he had a true character development from beginning to end. This said, I am ready to accept, even fall in "screen love" with a male jerk IF, and only if, the female gives tit for tat. A relatioship can have the strangest dynamic, but it must be even, somehow. Go Mi Nam was a big part of the reason why I didn't like that couple: I couldn't identify with her. Too humble, too accepting, too ignorant.
P.S. My name's Rita. It's nice to meet you! :D

I'm truly sorry to hear about your grandfather, I hope you cherish fond memories of him.
A play IN the ocean? Yes, that's super strange indeed, lol. How do you provide music? You play? Compose? Create a music selection? Weird it may sound, but it sure is interesting and I'm really curious. :)

If you said Binnie sucks I'd seriously recommend either a schrink or an ophthalmologist. Age wouldn't be an acceptable excuse. :P
I'm fine and kicking. Just came out of a drama anti-obsession, which means that I've nourished my life instead of the screen one, which can be quite healthy. ;)
How about you? Enjoying the Summer? Holidays? :D

You're beating a dead horse here. I doubt I'll ever dislike a couple as much as those two. They were so unnecessarily sugary I had to run to the dentist. But I could have overlooked them if only the plot had been something emotionally deep, or the cinematography special, or the side characters likable... but no. As far as I am concerned, it's the most overrated drama after you're beautiful.
Forgive me! Hahahaha, you don't even know me and here I'm ranting about a drama on your wall.
I promise you, I can be more discreet... occasionally. ;)

Hmmm, it's difficult to give you motivation, my dear, because I fell in love with it on episode 1. All that came after was a consequence. The plot gets so thick and emotional, only watch it if you're ready for it. Otherwise, I suggest you watch something else and pick it up again when you're in the mood to invest emotionally.
If it were a silly thing, I'd simply suggest you drop it, but K2H is too good a drama to be simply taken as entertainment. So, rather than watch it at the wrong moment and disliking it, wait until your head (that part which someone calls heart) has room for it.
Does it make sense to you? ;)

Yes, I understand your issues about the script holes, but since I didn't care for the plot and enjoyed the style of it, it didn't mine my liking it in any way. I actually prefer dramas that concentrate on style and characters to those which have too convoluted a plot.
As for "Mary should have stayed out forever", we seem to agree: it was so stupid I think I've lost some neurons while watching it and dropping it.
I just added Daisy to my ptw list. Thank you for indirectly recommending. :D

Thank you! I was actually debating whether I should give it an overall 10, but I am a bit of a stingy person and try to keep the 10s (as if we had a limited amount to use) for things which blow me away.
Whatever, it was a lovely drama through and through and I was almost sad to see these guys go after a marathon of not even 3 days. ;)

Hello Rian,
thank you for passing by and thank you for appreciating the profile. Perhaps I should confess this is a "first draft", because as soon as I found out we could use new features I ran to try them out, lol. I will indulge myself again very soon. ;)
Have you been well? Watching something good? :D
