I think Yunji is hypocritical because she's phrasing everything very rationally, telling the FL to stay a distance from the ML for his good, for the world's good, whatever that is, but what she really wants is to reserve the ML for herself. Since her and the ML's marriage is political in nature, and is officially "for the common people and the six realms", she can effectively use this excuse to her favor.

"I can be with him because it's for everyone's good. You shouldn't be with him because it's destructive to everyone. Be considerate please." pretty much sums up what she meant.

According to the novel, she is a super beautiful fairy. The most beautiful one in Nan Hua, apart from Yunji. And her second life self is quite stubborn and possessive towards the ML. She is prone to jealousy unlike the first life FL.

I noticed several foreshadowing moments. Without spoiling too much, here are some keywords - the box holding the "soul binding thread" in the weapons chamber, and the Xirang dirt they used to repair the underwater tunnel. These are some items that will appear again in the third arc.

LYF has two swords. It was explained in an early episode that the swords were forged at the same time, and they are for the left and right hand. The yellow one is called "Ju Bo" and he abandoned that one because he used it to kill CZ. The grey one is called "Mo Feng", which he is using now.

I agree the makeup is pretty bad. Whenever they do close-up shots, the face powder ruins the immersion. And not sure if it's a budget problem or not, but people in China have been laughing at the production team for not even bothering to use blood bags just so they don't have to get the costumes dirty. Even during Chong Zi's death, there was no blood on her clothes.

LYF saw the true nature of Ting Xue early on. When Chong Zi asked LYF to take Ting Xue in as disciple, he made a comment that she is not as simple as she seems and that cultivation is not suitable for her. LYF has an eye for people.
