I have no issues with the plot being dramatic and over-the-top because it's makjang after all, I know what I signed up for. But some things really make no sense like the characters' intelligence levels fluctuating just for the convenience of the plot. It's taking me out while I'm trying hard to enjoy and respect the drama for what it is.
Ikr??? It looks like SE left before the detective finished his briefing. But the distance still seems too much🙈
I was already worried when they just turned their backs, hugged and talked while someone was hunting them down with a gun. Any normal person would've tried to get to safety immediately. The police should've been SURROUNDING their car at that point, and at a close distance. They should also be searching the forest with guns. But apparently they just decided to chill like nothing dangerous is going on.
Even if ML didn't want to run BSE over due to guilt and sympathy, he should've just slammed the pedal and drove away. Instead, he froze and gave BSE all the time to load up his gun. And even agreeing to get out of the car to talk to him? That dude is a psychopath with brain damage. There's really no need to talk to him at all, at least not in that environment. It has been established that ML is a strategic planner. Suddenly he becomes stupid due to plot convenience. This is just disrespectful to the intelligence level of the audience...
Didn't the police say they were going to follow the car? They all know there's an armed criminal nearby. Also apparently BSE can teleport or run faster than lightning. I need to shut off my brain for this...
Oh okay so having seen the whisper scene now I feel pretty confident that the real Sa Eon told him about Paik…
I think that's the only piece of information that would make ML react the way he did, but at the same time it sounds to me like unnecessary drama. Hee Joo already knew (or somewhat guessed) that the car accident was related to the Baek family, and her and In Ah already confronted their father about it. It just seems like she didn't tell ML about it, probably bc she didn't want him to feel guilty about it. But obviously Hee Joo doesn’t mind that at all and would want to be with him regardless. It makes sense for him to feel guilty, but he really doesn’t have to, and him just leaving her like that is just frustrates the audience more than anything. Hee Joo also deserves a healthy conversation with him, but I guess he's still the type of guy who hates being transparent about his plans. Lol
This is weibo acount of the drama, you can find here:https://m.weibo.cn/u/7841382912?luicode=10000011&lfid=100808543fdf085915b9398142a5b2ff208fba_-_feed
Guys off topic ...shld i watch LBFAD?...36 eps binging is a real commitment for me ....This is one of the reason…
You have to watch LBFAD!! So far it's the best work from this screenwriter. Disclaimer tho: the screenwriter has an issue of starting strong and ending weak, so LBFAD also kind of suffers from this writing issue, but since overall it is an enjoyable ride, it is still considered a great drama that I would recommend. I was obsessed with LBFAD for a while and even bought all the merch.
yes..episode from the Marquis proposal has been all over the place..I don't mind them being secretive about the…
Yeah it's sad that the leads don't get much screentime anymore. A lot of the story is shifting to the side characters, even though the original setting was about Miao Miao entering this world to complete missions. The story has deviated too much from its premise after Miao Miao forgot about the real world and lost the power to influence the events as the main protagonist.
Ikr!....this was the point even i was tryna make earlier ....glad to know I'm not the only one ....https://kisskh.at/684889-black-lotus-tactics-manual#comment-19463684
Yes we share the same sentiments! I feel like because they're running out of time, they resort to having NPCs narrate us the entire situation. Even if they had a really big twist planned for the last 2 episodes, they wouldn't have enough time to show the complexity of the twist, so I have a feeling part of it will just be verbalized to us on top of some diced up scenes. Currently it's a pile of questions but no answers. They're essentially creating a snowball, but after every episode, the snowball just becomes larger and harder to handle.
At this point I can no longer tell what was foreshadowing and what has been permanently cut from the drama. A lot of things were not explained and now they're still introducing new characters and new side plots to take up the time they have left to tie up all those loose ends. I appreciate how secretive they are about the ending, as they are definitely building up for a grand revelation or major plot twist, but the episodes leading to this revelation are all over the place. There are certain scenes that should have been shown and not told, as in they should've been played out by characters instead of just having two people stand and talk about theories. We're watching a drama, not a talk show or a radio programme, so why not make use of the medium? Unless there are budget issues here.
I am by no means being an anti of the drama btw, I really enjoyed the first half of it and thought it had a lot of potential. It could've been one of the best dramas this year or become the next LBFAD, and there is still some hope that it will get better towards the end. But right now things are worrying...
and I'm afraid the writing is going increasingly downhill. Why are they repeating the memory loss trope twice just to make Zi Qi suffer? It's okay for Miao Miao to gradually lose her memories due to unlocking the lotus powers, since that was foreshadowed from a while back, but forgetting about Zi Qi due to a spell placed by a side character? This has already happened before. It's bad writing if you're resorting to the same trope over and over. Unless it was just to trick the audience, this is really not it.
I am curious who Liu Fu Yi's shifu is. He seems to be hiding his true form and knows a lot of things. Could he be the system? An older version of Zi Qi? Or maybe even author Fu Zhou?? Very intriguing...
so this drama is about racism and his sister whom he loves very much is racist towards his other race
Technically yes, the entire world is racist towards demons. However, the sister and Liu Fu Yi are more reasonable demon catchers, they only catch problematic ones and give most of them second chances to redeem themselves. Mu Yao is also seen to be rather accepting towards demons who are kind in nature, so maybe Zi Qi will be able to get his sister to accept him.
THIS!! This latest arc felt so choppy TT They have cut out so many important scenes that could help us connect…
I wonder why it was necessary to make the episodes shorter when the drama is so popular. They could've stuck to 40 minute episodes like the beginning and it would still be able to air normally. Maybe they thought those were unnecessary scenes, but now there is way too much information being left out.
At this point there are so many questions and foreshadowing that still haven't been answered, but we only have 9 episodes left. I hope the screenwriter is able to finish what they started. It feels like a lot of explanation scenes have been cut...
