1. If you watch the entire scene (not only the beginning), you will see how she gently release herself from Yan Xun's hands and ask him to move on. Yan Xun then leaves with promise to be a better king for his land. That is the point of that scene.

For me, it makes sense considering the location they are in. Zhuge Yue is cornered in the frozen lake. The lake has different thickness and has been cracked in various places; even though the area looks vast, the room for maneuvering is very limited. That is why they are concentrated in one area, Zhuge Yue stand firm in one place, and the bodies are not scattered like in land-based battle.
I think the funny part is Chu Qiao coming in rescue with horse, because later, the horse is nowhere to be seen. However, it is logically better than in PA, where CQ is literally flying from a cliff to reach ZY. The distance between cliff and the mid of the frozen lake is far, but she can do it. It is more funny, but emotion from that scene is too heavy, so instead of laughfing at the production quality, I am crying over their fate.
