Everytime I get stressed after watching other cdrama, I come back here for rejuvenation šŸ˜†šŸ˜…Missing Li Lianhua,…
I watch the drama at least 6 times now and I still look up for small clips. I miss Li Lianhua and the trio so much.

Is there any romance in this? I just watched Sword and the Beloved, and they only mentioned Beloved for the title.…
No, but the bromance is very sincere and touching, so it's a fulfilling series emotionally

Title Whispers of Fate Spoiler
Everything about this drama is excellent, from the beautiful cinematography to the costumes and acting. However,…
Its due to the plot revolving around a poorly constructed miscommunication trope. LY is slaughtering civilians to frame Tang Lici because he thought Tang Lici killed his adopted father Fang Zhou. Which could have been fixed by Tang Lici clearly saying he was actually trying to save him but even when he cleared up the miscommunication, LY still didnt believe him. Its like a forced miscommunication which could be grating to some people.

I think my expectations were too high. This was one of my most anticipated drama since it is from the writer of mysterious lotus casebook and has XSY in it. I didn’t get a chance to start till now but I am disappointed with the first couple of episodes. The action went too far into posing and cgi and looks cheesy to me. I was really hoping for something more like MLC where the actors did the action choreography and the cg is just there as a background assist.

In general, although the show has great visuals, somehow it looks a bit too "digital" like too high definition and not quite real. It reminds me more of blood of youth than MLC.

I hope the mysteries will get a bit more engaging soon. The ML is good looking but his character and the setup is not that interesting so far.

i am sorry to be saying this ( no hate) i can't keep watching a drama that don't have a little common sense, so i drop it after ep12. os she strong or weak ( writer please decide) if you want a FL to be saved/protected by ML or A badass FL you can't have both,
with the advance medical we have a sword/knife going through your body will NOT fully heal in one month, but to heal and move and train like nothing happened.... in an ep drama want us to picture ML as a badass no one can miss with ( that guy telling his son even if he kill us the emperor will do nothing), like writer please stuck with one theme ,what happened in ep 1 ? you want a badass ML or ( oh i feel sorry for ML ) you can't keep having everything in one character, i don't want to go to details like why i stopped watching but just one simple example:
she got poisoned and can't see, in the temple with a guide stick she was about to fall in water ( got saved), next she running away ( without a guide stick) passing on a kind of bridge (:i don't know what it called in English, that over water road ) and it turns right, without a guide stick she just passed that without falling in water then go on and fight get slash and a sword through the body then fall from a cliff, saved!!? but never wake up in one month ā‰ˆ 30 days without food, let forgot a sword going through your body was healed in one month, but the blood lost and no food for one month ( i mean eating properly) will need another month or so for you to stand, but no the writer goes straight to training....

This was so much fun to watch. Maybe because I went into it blind with no expectations. It felt like the narration between levels of a video game. I've always liked those. The main character's strength is his single-mindedness, everything else he does feels like side-quests to get him where he wants. He's only loyal to his goal and I hope they don't ruin that with romance in the next season (at least not with that whiny core formation grandmaster). I liked his inner monologues and how the side character stories were revealed without overwhelming the plot. The nepo baby villain was another character I liked. He's so unseriously evil.

Was not a fan of the flashback sequences. Some of the CGI could be better but most of if was real even if not perfect and I can live with that.

But in all, very worth the time I spent binge-watching.

Answer for those who are asking for Season 2

Yes, Season 2 of the live-action adaptation of A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality has indeed been confirmed—though an official announcement hasn’t yet been made, several credible sources strongly suggest it’s in development.

What’s Confirmed So Far

The end of Season 1 clearly displays ā€œē¬¬äø€å£ē»ˆā€ (ā€œEnd of Season 1ā€) rather than ā€œThe End,ā€ signaling the intention for a follow-up installment .

According to multiple reports, Yang Yang (the actor portraying Han Li) has reportedly signed on to complete the Ren Realm arc, which spans three planned seasons .

Additionally, the production team is actively preparing for Season 2 and aiming to retain the original cast (ā€œåŽŸēäŗŗ马ā€) .

What’s Still Unknown

No official press release has yet confirmed Season 2’s filming start date or premiere schedule.

Actor lineup and storyline details—beyond speculation about where the story will continue—have not been publicly announced .

In essence: Yes, Season 2 is both expected and reportedly in early preparation, with Yang Yang likely to reprise his role. However, the specifics—like a release date or new cast confirmations—are still pending from official channels.

Title This Thriving Land Spoiler
In the book she was stuck in the bandit's lair for 3 days 3 nights and was raped iirc. Dajiao is also unable to…
It did not reduce anything for me. The prejudices were still there, played out & understood Because she lied about it. She was so enraged , disappointed with her father that she made a point of it. It didnt take anything away for me other than not being faithful to the book which I didn't read anyway. So in that respect nothing was changed for me. It was written even up to the point of consummation of marriage does she then reveal the truth to her husband. Which makes Dajiao's character all the more admirable. His love and respect for her were pure & unconditional. Whether he was a cripple in the book didnt make a difference, they stayed true to the hard life they lived, he wasnt embellished , he still look shabby & rough in the edges. Sure r*pe would be uncomfortable to see there is no doubt but the elements were not reduced by her lying. I dont know why the decision was made or the intention of the writers to deviate but they did good as far as the elements were concern we still saw their prejudices, we still saw how it was back then. As for not being happy that they were not faithful to the book, of course that is another thing all together.

i have to say.....how could the fl, despite being a mind-blowing warrior who single-handedly defeated a brutal barbarian enemy general, starts crying in the middle of the battlefield because she thought her secret crush general was killed!!!! I mean, comeĀ on!!!! for me that was the lowest point of this drama....felt very very let down....

Fighting/war scenes are cool, but don't force romantic scenes into war scenes, they are both experienced generals on the battlefield, why are they given scenes where they both become careless and not in a state of alert and focus, if it's a war scene, romance is secondary, war is number one. Why do I say there is a scene that is too forced because when it is still a war, how can two experienced generals not be in alert focus? They should have included the romantic scenes after they knew they had won the war and the war had just ended.
