This drama is like watching a train wreck to happen, and you just can't stop watching. What keeps me going, just like some of you here, is the leads, especially Luo Yun Xi. This my first costume Cdrama, and I never thought there would come a day where I would watch a drama for mainly the cast and not the plot. Therefore, would I watch this drama without Luo Yun Xi in it? NO. Haha. So thank you Luo Yun Xi and fastforward button for making me sit through a costume drama when Dylan Wang (highly recommending Rational Life) couldn't even with LBFAD lol.
Why do you think a lot of people here were excited to see him as a demon god? Because of the costume and the hot looks. Kind of lol but really, this man just shows a huge range of acting depth. If he were a singer, he would be able to do ALL vocal ranges. He is that good. As a fan from Love Is Sweet, I'm so proud to see him actually grow as an actor in each passing episode of this drama. Even though Ashes of Love was unbearable for me to watch (didn't finish it), he definitely made an impression there with the few scenes he had. From that early on in his career, I knew that he had real talent.
I'm sure fans here definitely know that this is going to be the huge stepping stone for this wonderful actor. All I could hope for, is for him to get better scripts in the future. C'mon, it's been long overdue. Give him some quality work! Lol.
When Tan Tai Jin told her "In the end you just said lightly that you tricked me, hid from me, hurt me and tried to kill me, all for the sake of the people of the world", "I hate you" and "Do you think I would forgive you that easily", it was so good to hear that too bad he is only saying that to deceive Li Su Su, she deserved to have heard these truths before. Anyway, I'm happy that we're in the final and unfortunately I found these last romantic episodes too forced and Li Su Su's love for Tan Tai Jin didn't convince me, I believe that the cuts influenced a lot.
But in the end, the drama was good to watch and Li Su Su entered my ranking of female leads that I hate and I found that I don't like the "Enemies to Lovers" trope if one of the characters is mean to the other lol
what episode do they officially get togetherany break up scenes if so what episode and what episode they get back…
One sided love story from ml. FL never even tries to understand him. She is completely one dimensional in her pursuit of great cause for her people, uses ml as a toy. i really don't mind if they don't end up together because ml deserves a better person than fl
Don't watch it for romance. Forget about triangles.
I need to appreciate that TTJ is not character that hell bent to love. Lot of demon characters out there just become soft and weak after he fall in love. DFQC is the worst kind of example of this type. DFQC so badass on early episode than he literally do absolutely nothing later on. TTJ shown his care and love in gallant way even when he is CJM.
Also it is rarely mentioned or discussed about TTJ most prominent characteristic that is really high pride. His pride and ego helped him become Jin King and his pride go higher as DG. He is the man that will never say love first but have woman came to him. If his lover do not came to him, he rather manipulate her instead. Eventhough TTJ begging YXW but he never admit he is love him. He wanted to own YXW. He regretted his unhealth obsession over YXW and replace it with unspoken sacrifice.
He don't know how to say love without put down his pride. Through 39 ep of this drama, he never confess his feeling outright to LSS.
If it happens, his death will be the most stupid thing. Why die if he is concious and didn't become killing machine?…
yes actually, it is necessary. First of all, in ep. 38 (I think), Di Mian, being under the control of the devil god, activates the All-In-Distress way. Tantai Jin aims to gather all three artifacts and become the devil god because he discovers that only the devil god can stop the formation from destroying everything. Unfortunately, things don't go as planned because after he completely absorbs the former devil god, he comes to see that the All-In-Distress way lives and dies with the devil god. Tantai Jin soon realises that since it's already been activated, the only way out is for him (who has now become the devil god) to die. So yes, TTJ does have to die for anything to be solved.
I agree that he doesn't need to make everyone hate him to kill him. Even just explaining to them that he needs to die for everything to end is enough for them to understand the situation. But no. C-drama just can't do without their angst now can they? ;)
In eps 39 when he was talking abt My SJ,, " their love is so insignificant compare to the great war between god and devil, no one would even know their love story if it's not Bo re dream," I guess in his heart , what he truely wanted to ask LSS is if she will remember him after everything and how will she remember him π,, he set that Bo re dream for LSS n chose the time he thinks that she was the happiest (and one of his darkest time as hostage prince), had family around n him as just a normal husband, in his heart, he hops that one day when LSS finally knows everything, she still has this dream ....my heart breaks for ttj n I won't recover unless happy ending π

I donβt understand why they changed the original novel and made YXW the villain. they completely whitewashed…
The book is fantastic. YXW's character really fits well in the story and TTJ truly is a devil fetus especially in personality. But the drama changing his character essentially makes it an entirely new story that should be treated as such. TTJ in the drama is turning out to be a saint lol.
πππExpectation pales in comparison to the reality of watching the drama. I am now utterly broken to smithereens. The roller coaster ride was so so good albeit heartbreaking. The only comfort I might have is that TTJ finally knows in midst of being always abandoned, hated and despised but loved and misunderstood also by the only woman he romantically loved, by a shifu who never gave him up, and not forgetting LSS' dad who believed in him. Ultimately he chose to look at the good in his mum, dad, nannies, friend, Susu and his shifu...πππ to be honest, i no longer expect a HE, instead it would be a pleasant surprise if HE is givenπ€£ππ
So, I have read people talking about how different each and every move LYX and DW made in TTEOTM, because they are dancers. I do see how beautiful their fight scenes are...but initially I thought those are just normal. So, I intentionally re-watched some scenes from famous xian xia like Eternal Love (Yangmi)...and yeah, when I watched the ML's fight scenes...those looked really rough and random...also, so many scenes where they only showed the body (without faces) and then I knew those were stunt... So yeah, okay, I admit TTEOTM actors, actresses, crews really did great job...the fact that most of them did their own stunt...amazing! I even saw BL did her own scene from heights even though she kept screaming because she was so afraid, kudos to them!!!
He be like "If I'm not happy with my life, I'll make sure nobody else is too" πππ
ππ you really opened my eyes, how I have missed this, here he called it "All-distress way" in that machine translation it's called "the Path of Same Sadness" Now it really does make sense
I know Ep. 35 was full of sweet moments but I'm living for the scene where Cang Jiumin is fixing the heart scale. He's finally learned to ignore them haters. It all starts from him and it doesn't matter about others. He feared what many told him he would be but don't listen to them Cang Jiumin. They don't define who you are. I love to see his growth!
And these past 2 episodes has really touched so well on the morality of humanity. Being misunderstood and letting others define who you are without even getting to know you. The hypocrisy of the immortals was too real.
