Sometimes low-rated shows become our absolute favourites and high-rated shows are just ehh. Before I joined MDL, I used to watch recommendation videos on YouTube and binge dramas. After joined MDL, I was surprised to find my favourites rated below 8!! My love from the ocean: 7.4 The heirs: 7.5 Mountains and ocean: 7.6 I like to be on the safe side and often watch dramas above 8.4 nowadays lol. I took the "risk" with 7 First Kisses recently (6.9 on MDL) only because it's a very short drama, about 10 min per episode (8 eps). For the rec, I absolutely hated It's Okay To Not Be Okay even tho it has a 9.1 lol
"In 1987, Im Soo Ho and Eun Young Cho are students at a prestigious university in Seoul." So this is going to be an university romance...
I don't think we have North and South Korea like CLOY cuz only the adaptation part of the plot says "Adapted from the handwritten notes of a man who escaped from a political prison camp in North Korea" while the actual plot is about university students as leads and the ML who lived in Germany. Maybe we might get Jung hae in speak in German like Song Joong Ki speaking Italian :))
I agree with you tho. Even if many people like it, I just couldn't feel attached to it or like it even if I forced myself. In my opinion, this was the worst drama I've seen in 2020 (I saw like 50 dramas last year...)
