I hate the rapey stuff. They're romanticizing it. It's wrong. And then P'New gave TinCan an unhappy ending because…
It's the only thing I was dreading...but I was also hoping that it was all a "ploy/plan" by Kla to make Techno think they did something (still wrong) but nothing happened. Yeah I can't wait for BLs to stop using that trope which adds nothing to the story and only normalizes "drunken sex as being okay but we all know it's rape"
P'New was defeated by all of the drama--poor guy was tired from the moment his drama was dropped to the uncertainty if it would ever see the light of day, to managers pegging an actor against another...it was a never ending cycle and I don't blame him for being tired and just wanting to give up. The hope is that maybe he'll pick this up some time in the future, who knows, however, he should be proud that he created a drama that had a lot of GREAT points to it...more than the negative and that his drama took some negative cliches and turned them on their heel and made them a bit more realistic.
I am not disappointed in the ending--rather, I am happy that there were closures for some of them and open endings for others. This way, any other director can pick a pairing that has that open ending and work a spin off or something like that.
I’m gonna watch the raws tomorrow. That’s how desperate I am, and I won’t know a single thing they’re…
I always watch the raw and then go back and watch the sub. I have no problem not knowing what's being said (though I can pick up a few thai words here and there) but I rather see it like that, cause you never know what can happen that can keep you from seeing the episode (I'm a bit of pessimist so I tend to say...umm what if I am not here tomorrow? LOL)
That review doesn't speak about the series at all.
That review should not be up regardless if you feel it doesn't talk about the series because it offers no real substance or discussion as to why it is good or bad and the person only had watched about two or three episodes when they wrote it (if that is true to believe). What it does talk about is how it is SO BAD because it copies other BLs (moronic point of view since nearly all dramas copy each other) even when the reviewer only watched about two episodes in...Now ask yourself, if you were someone who didn't know anything about this drama and was told to watch it, and the first thing you read is that review, would you have a good opinion about it? Likely not, because that it a negative review that has no real substance other than to bash on the series. Just because it doesn't go into episode details doesn't take away from the fact that this appeared to be an intent to discourage others from "wasting their time" watching this series because it simply as the reviewer posted "this series is like copying scenes from another series. It doesn't matter if you are inspired by another series! But too much inspiration or imitation is not good!"For whatever reason they had.
The reviews are finally out...however, I still don't understand how they can keep that top review when that person did not even watch the whole thing when they wrote it? That is a super negative reflection of the rating/review system.. IT should have been deleted or have asked the user to update their review (even if it remained the same) only because they are not being honest or at least subjective. I say this, because I remember reading the review while only three or so episode were out and the person rated it a 1 in every category. Just a thought.
Since you're new to BL and I don't know your age, I'm going to suggest shounen ai manga. Seven Days (both volumes),…
Some of my favorites that I can name from the top of my head (keep in mind I have been reading BL mangas for over fifteen years and these might be recent ones and not from too long ago) Ten Count, Haru Wo daiteta, Jazz, Little Butterfly, Honto-Yajuu, Omairi desu yo, Love Stage, Konya mo nemurenai, Kouun no Rihatsushi, Hanakoi Tsurane, only the ring finger knows, Neon Sign Amber, Gosan no heart, Doushitemo Furetakunai, rainy days yesterday, Tadaima Okaeri (this is super super cute), Mother and spirit, Aioi Musubi, Dekichatta Danshi. Hinadori wa Shiokaze ni Madoromu
I own over 150 of them so I've been reading quite a few and the ones listed as some of the ones I go back to read.
if the director is not planning a 2nd season, then why would he end it with a cliffhanger? i mean, he knows how…
The problem is the money/sponsors...when the drama was owned by MCOT they could have easily done a second season (P'New had worked with MCOT when he directed MIR and that series had a lot of episodes)...however, the new CEO of MCOT dropped the drama which meant that the sponsors and money they had available to them is no longer there. With the drama being on GMM TV25 (part of GMM) people are hopeful that it will get a second season but the Director hasn't really given any indication that a an S2 would happen though he teased some news. I do think there will be an S2 but who knows how long it will be before we get it.
With one episode to go and no resolution for S2 how will Tum Tar be resolved? This is why Sotus and Sotus S kept…
The problem was that at first this drama when it was under MCOT, P'New had believed that a second season was a shoe-in. He operated under the same thought at MIR which had 14 episodes in the first season and then had like 22 in the second one. But when the drama was dropped by MCOT there was no guaranteed that a second season would even see the light of day. So, my opinion is that they promoted this as a 4 couple ensemble because they were sure that they would extend the stories into other seasons, but now it's a matter of will someone actually give the second season a go ahead? Tum/Tar's issues definitely need to be resolved and not just in a few minutes of an episode. Had P'New just promoted the drama and Ae/Pete and Tin/Can it would have made more sense and then he could have introduced the other couples as secondary pairings in the background like Sotus did with Wad/Prem.
I can't understand all the hate against TinCan.They are two extremes, one is deeply hurt, is mischievous and have…
The hate was coming because a lot of Tin-Can shippers were complaining about the amount of screen time Pete/Ae were getting even though Ae/Pete are the main couple. But, from me personally I wasn't clicking with the tin-can coupling until episode 9ish or so, because their progression just didn't seem as natural, but I'm actually liking where they are now.
My first foray into BL came from reading mangas back in 1996-2000...I graduated to movies with Ai No Kotodama…
I'm not a fan of normalizing sexual assault as okay just because the actor is cute. Also don't like the idea that someone can kidnap you, attempt to rape you and then end up together as if nothing happened. Even if it was a joke it was in poor taste. I'm not a big fan of that at all. I also didn't like it with MIR or even with Bad Romance. The normalization of sexual assault is just weird to me.
Heyyy guyss can i ask a question just out of curiosity what's your first ever bl drama or movie how you became…
My first foray into BL came from reading mangas back in 1996-2000...I graduated to movies with Ai No Kotodama in 2008..then to BL drama series with Chinese/Taiwanese dramas such as counter attack, addicted (which I hate), I love you cause you're a man, Irresistible love etc.
Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s probably not going to happen. There’s a lot of drama between the…
You got a mistaken idea of what privacy versus public is. They are actors and they are in the public eye. Their private lives are theirs to do with as they wish, but their professional lives aren't because anything they do will be scrutinized...it doesn't help that their own managers are the ones doing spreading these rumors. Again you continue to say that it's the fans without realizing that the fans would never have KNOWN about this if these two grown adults could have kept it private. When you are a public figure be ready for scrutiny and rumors that's life. It's unfair for you to accuse fans of spreading rumors when the culprits are those directly involved with the actors. And don't single me out when I don't care about this issue or not. My problem was that you are pointing fingers at fans when they haven't really done anything other than to share the translated version of what's is happening. I for one have not spread anything because as I said I don't care about these actors or any famous person. All I care about is watching a drama that can help me unwind from my stressful working days. Anyone getting invested in these people are wasting their precious times. And again my comments were directed as your finger pointing as it was unfair to just say the fans are the ones doing this damage when clearly they are also caught in the middle of these two people's PUBLIC fight. If they had been professional no one would have known about this issue, but they wanted to get fans involved hoping to get their clients support from the fans. Everyone is getting played...the actors, the director and the fans by two people who should have resolved their problems quietly.
Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s probably not going to happen. There’s a lot of drama between the…
But that is the point the other users were tying to make. These managers are behaving unprofessionally and all it does is damage their actor's brand name where no one is going to want to work with them "they are difficult, or they don't compromise or their managers are crazy" all of these actors will be affected if their petty argument continues. And no one is making this a huge scandal other than the two parties involved (the managers) to the point that even the Director P'New had to step in because IT IS A BIG deal in Thailand right now...there are multiple news companies asking him about this issue and if it will affect his future projects. Again, the fans aren't the ones making this a bigger scandal, it's the managers. The issues is that there is misinformation being shared by concerned fans from both actors and us international fans are "blind" because we don't know what's going on and rely on what others share. The good thing is that the Director addressed the issue both publicly and via social media and trusted translators did us a favor by putting in English/Spanish for us to read. I honestly don't care what these people do or don't do...I am only invested in the series as far as it goes, I don't stalk these actors or their managers. I only know about it because of the fans sharing it and all I can do is shake my head and the lack of professionalism by these grown a** people. All I can do is wish these boys luck and hope that they can continue to act and not be black listed by the entertainment business.
Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s probably not going to happen. There’s a lot of drama between the…
While I do agree with some of your commentary, the other users aren't spreading rumors. These managers HAVE been engaging in a PUBLIC back and forth that has interfere with the ACTORS Perth and Saint and their ability to do work for LBC...to the point where the Director has ASKED THEM repeatedly to stop...their fighting has caused the FANS For both of those actors to act out against the other spreading rumors...so while I do agree that as INTERNATIONAL fans we should be careful about the information we share (like the telephone games where everything because a muddle mess at the end), there are some things that are true 1) the managers are the ones engaging in this rumor spreading 2) fans should be allowed to know what is up but refrain from commenting or engaging in behaviors that cause undue harm to the actors and lastly 3) this can affect the production of a second season if these managers aren't called out for their childish behavior...even from us the fans who are the consumers.
What BLs have you watched before? There are a lot I could recommend. Here a few, if you haven't already watched…
You know what's funny, that I am a big fan of that Manga and would love it for it to be a drama series minus the "alpha/omega bit" but with Gay couples who adopt LOL...it would be such a cute series.
I so wish consent to be taken seriously. Like I don`t know about you all but I really feel uncomfortable when…
If anything, Ae's always asking for consent and Pete has told him to stop asking...so Ae has been quite a fresh of breath of air in BL dramas because he has always asked Pete if he wants to do something or if he could kiss him or this and that until Pete has to tell him to stop. I do like him asking even if Pete says to stop, because a Yes can quickly turn into a NO, but with Pete he is super sure of wanting what Ae wants but being shy to voice it.
I am not disappointed in the ending--rather, I am happy that there were closures for some of them and open endings for others. This way, any other director can pick a pairing that has that open ending and work a spin off or something like that.
