They are still together and Yan Fei is desperate for HQ to finish up with his degree which he will be doing soon. The idea was to let us the viewers know that they were still a couple even after three years of separation to show that their love could withstand the "test of time".

100% agree...Also the open ending has a continuation...they are still together three years later-there are four special episodes that were published not too long ago. Yan Fei is still waiting for HQ to finish his degree.

What a shame if it's true. Perhaps people should stop watching their other shows so their ratings go down. Consumers have a right to protest such idiotic companies...

Nothing wrong with liking these types of stories, but they oversaturate the market. I totally get it, the companies want to market them to the population that loves that stuff. My gripe is that most of the time, these dramas are full of misinformation so it's a bit sad. I loved Gay Ok, Diary of Tootsies, and other more real and mature dramas. I also love these silly ones, but that doesn't mean they can't be written well. Most aren't sadly. LOL that's what I meant.

The drama suffered from being too short for them to fully explore the intricacies of the relationships (it's more of a square than a triangle lol). My understanding and observation of the drama was that Hai Qing fell in love at first sight with YF and kept that feeling for a long time. He slowly fell for Pin Jun after PJ took care of him during his depression. HQ was more so "indebted" to PJ and didn't want to break his heart at first when YF came back into his life; however, he did try to break up the relationship after sometime but Pin Jun refused to listen to him. This is around episode 9??. Again, this was due to the rushed episodes. Had it been a longer series it could have been better and more explanations could have been shown.

Sadly, it is mostly fujoshies who write majority of BL stories/dramas. I wish real LGTBQ writer would step up and write a meaningful story-Sure clieches are abound in the world, but overdone in dramas makes me lose interest in the stories.

Maybe HE just likes those and feels comfortable with it. Actors get scripts all the time and can pick and choose. Maybe he liked the story of the character and it might end up being a challenge. Who knows. I think he is a good actor and can definitely open up his repertoire a bit more, but we don't know why he gets the roles he gets. Again, could be his own choosing. Good luck to him, I like the way he acts.

I don't know but I find Addicted to be overrated and not as great as people think (then again it has more to do with me not really into the kidnapping, forcing himself on his brother, groping etc type of story even if they are stepbrothers)
