This drama is bad...which I sort of knew would be, given the backlash MODC got. I knew they would screw up HIStory to please a lot of rabbid fujoshis. HIStory used to be the type of anthology that even when they had questionable topics (like Obsessed and Right or Wrong) they still took great care in telling the story and addressing those tropes. And as the years went by, one hoped that the HIStory team would tackle even more real issues specially after the passing of the Marriage Equality law in Taiwan. Alas, because money makes the world go round, they decided that pleasing those loud fans and sacrificing story telling was the way to go.
I have had no qualms about dropping series here and there, never thought that History would make that list. Simply put, we are in 2021...The BL market has grown exponentially and as such there are more content available. I will appreciate what the previous HIStory Anthologies did. But I can't keep watching this.

LOL mostly just watching their YT videos called Wolf and Rabbit where they bring special guests mostly lesbian couples. They talk about their projects and how the new marriage laws have shaped story telling. They are so adorable.
Actually doing some research on this drama allowed me to learn that most of these women are actually Proud and Out and legally married to their partners thanks to the new Equal Marriage law in Taiwan. The script writer who also plays Lin Ma (the captain of the martial arts group) is married to Haung Ting who plays the character Yan Yi Zhen. They shared on their yt channel that they are part of a collective project called "The Rainbow" where different Asian Cities will highlight different GL/BL projects ranging from dramas, mini series and photo exhibit. It's so cool that they actually got Lesbian actresses/models to create this little gem. I hope that Wofl and Rabbit continue to bring out more content like this and they get more sponsors too.

For Tian's transplant it actually took months for him to recover. The way they addressed it "timeskip" wise is there just subtle. From him being at home exercising with the nurse, to him going to Torfun's home to get the diary and then to him going to the organization for the volunteer teachers, you can tell that this is all in the span of months. I think that the issue was that they made it so subtle that you can't really tell it. I would say it took about 3-4 months for him to get to the point where he got to the village (based on the calendar and the weather)

Yes it was so good and I loved how focused it was. When you are able to connect with a drama/movie, you know the team behind it did a good job telling the story. ^_^

But the cast is well known... I mean at least four of them are known in the BL word. I think that sometimes trailers are misleading (2gethere comes to mind) so I would wait and see...if it sucks it sucks, but if it doesn't...well that's good I guess LOL
