I got the gay vibe right away too - and they made it pretty obvious in this episode. In the first ep it looked…
From the very beginning Phupha gave Gay vibes and his mannerisms near Torfun were pretty obvious that he looked at her like a little sister. People were probably confused because he is supposed to be an Stoic person, but subtle movements/gestures and stares say so much about him. We have to pay close attention to his actions more than anything because we might miss some clues. I have to say that Earth is nailing that character really well.
To me Tian seems like he may be in the closet. I say this because there is never a mention of him being with a girlfriend and he never seems to go out of his way to find one . Despite being a rich kid who is always partying with his friends. He could also just not be interested in dating at all, but his first time seeing Phupah was in the dreamlike realm (and there was this look Tian gave him) before he got his heart surgery. For me that scenes speaks volume...and the Shaman's words bring it back full circle to me. Two people (Tian and Torfun) crossed paths and their lives intertwined by fate, but one will have a happy life and the other will not. Meaning that Tian's destiny was already set for him to be with Phupha and not Torfun. His love for him was already destined and nothing to do with the heart he received.
Okay, I'm gonna be weird right now. Some Dramas or BL you watch and you like it, but you don't really connect…
It's because the drama is focusing on the development of the characters (specially Tian) and you become connected and relatable to them. It makes you want to see them succeed and fall in love. The subtle ways they are flirting wether intentional or not just makes them feel real. Small gestures are genuine and when Phupha is near Tian or just brushes his fingers/hands on him, you get an excited feeling because he is not expressive (facially) but he is so expressive with actions. It's the same way I felt with Cherry Magic and I am here for that.
You had an issue when you try to pay for the “rent”. Or you already paid successfully but cant play the video?
When I tried to pay for the "rent" kept giving me an error message and after trying three times, my bank locked my card for too many attempts. I am not sure what that was about. I'll try again tomorrow with a different card.
I tried to buy the ticket and also the "rent" option and nothing worked for me. :( I hope to be able to support them as I see a lot of positive reviews. Anyone have any idea of how I can fix that issue with the paying for the movie?
I know /I know/ I shouldn't be applying real world logic to a drama but can a person just suddenly develop a heart…
It's individual. Everyone's body is different and depending on their lifestyle it can progress quickly in one person and slower on another. His myocarditis may have ben undiganosed (dormant) for years too...it all depends. Sever Myocarditis can lead to heart transplant or a heart valve that pumps blood for the person.
Okay finally finished watching the whole episode. This was by far one of the best shot episodes from any GMM project (aside from He's coming to me) It was well done, the transitions from flashbacks to present were smooth and the overlays well placed. I also loved the montage didn't feel out of place and it helped set a pace and time frame quite nicely. I like the way the villagers are unsure of Tian but at the same time they appreciate him trying to fit in with them. Also, I totally get that these are rural/village people and they have their own set of ideals/societal rules etc so I understand about gender roles and such, but that scene with the village chief was too funny. I wasn't sure if he was trying to convince Phupha to get a wife or if he senses something about Tian and him. LOL....Elders tend to know more.
I also appreciate that in showing Tian's rich life versus the village life, they are showign us that Tian doesn't really care about material things as much as he thinks. The shirt scene in the river and the following scene with him putting the village clothes is a way to signify that he is leaving behind materials that mean nothing.
Can we just appreciate how well done that first scene in the hospital with the doctor and Tian and his parents was shot? There was tension, there was uncertainty...then that shot of Tian realizing what the doctor was saying and the amazing use of the high pitch sound signaling the realities of Tian's fate. Really well done.
But for him to be that competent it wouldn't fit the rich, spoiled, pampered, selfish (in a way) character that…
LOL....One time I left my 7 year old in the bathroom after she asked me to get her towel...it took me 20 minutes to remember I had to get that for her. She ended making a mess (lesson learned for me)
Eh they just dropped another small teaser with the girl and I'm not liking it all. If they are going to focus too much on her Fujoshiness (is that a word?) I am not here for that. I am sick of this type of female represenation in a gay/BL drama...because it ends up being such a caricature...but I hope they prove me wrong.
If they follow the novel yeah he is. He never had any interest in Torfun other than thinking of her as almost…
To me, he comes across as being Gay. his interactions with Torfun so far have been like you said, more like a brother looking after his sister. I never got the "I'm interested" in her vibe from him, but with Tian he seems to even like invading his space...whereas with Torfun, she was hesitant to get near him and he was always at a distance.
Do you know what I appreciate about this drama? How simplistic and formulaic it is without trying to be. Do you understand what I mean? Like, for once I don't need to use my brain too much and just enjoy the story. LOL... I hope it keeps with the same pace.

I need coffee...I'm rambling here.
