KMLM started out really good but idk whats been happening in these latest episodes. The revenge? DONE! the villian? DEFEATED! So why does it feel like they are dragging out these later episodes?? A lot of what happening in these episodes should be switched around. It makes no sense for why was the crown prince defeated when we still had 10ish episodes left, just to drag out the Mei Lin and Jinghe drama which honestly should have taken place before the crown prince's defeat. All the major plot points have been covered/resolved other than Mei Lin's poison.
Also why the heck was Mei Lin not more involved in the revenge? ik Jinghe wanted to protect her but from a narrative POV its just silly, it was just as much Mei Lin's revenge as it was Jinghe's, she should have been involved instead of almost getting taken directly to Xiyan.
It feels like we are also missing a chunk of info. How did the Xiyan King find out Mei Lin was the Moon Kunlun? We didn't even get to see Mei Lin agree to do the role until they were on route to Xiyan.
And don't even get me started on the fumble of Luomei's character, that honestly pissed me off. Let's just say the writers somehow made me like the relationship between the Emperor and Princess Zigu more than Luomei and Crown Prince (I don't even like major age gap relationships)
Yue Qin cannot be a serious character , “let her go and let Mei Lin choose freely” SHE HAS!?!?! he’s so…
exactly!! lemme compare him to the SML from The Rise of Ning (Lu Jiaxue) he and the FL spent an extended period of time together in the past so while his obsession is annoying you understand why he’s being like that. Meanwhile Yue Qin lacks substance for his obsession and delusion

I’ve watched enough dramas with delusional second leads but this one really irks because he lacks true reason and backstory for his delusions of wanting Mei Lin. He met her ONCE before Mei Lin came to palace, she only helped him hide and escape from a cave mind you this was YEARS ago.
imo his character is unfortunately very flat and seems more interested in keeping Mei Lin than his sister or even being a good heir to the throne
Yue Qin is reminding me of Pei Yan from Love of Nirvana, both act like they are the good guys, both lust over a girl who doesn’t want them in that way and both are delusionally thinking she is his and that they are “bringing them home”
and ironically YQ’s delusion of wanting to bring her back “home” is even worse than PY’s because at least the FL in Love of Nirvana actually lived with him. Mei Lin only met Yue Qin once and that’s when she helped him escape the cave.
Uncle X Niece , Brother X Sister TF is wrong with Chinese nips . I get it that they are not real siblings but…
It’s important to understand that Lin Mao and Luo Yixiu are not biological related at all, and the only reason why she calls him Sixth Uncle is because it’s socially respectful
Lin Mao’s only relation to the Luo’s is his sister (Hairu), who married into the family. Hairu is only Yixiu’s aunt through marriage.
Also Lin Mao and Yixiu hadn’t met before the events of EP 1
the scene where MJH accidentally peeped himself in EP 13 had me sobbing, he was truly vulnerable at that point and ML’s attempts to help him 😫😭 these two
