I don’t understand why people are bothered by the “harem” when it’s extremely obvious to why Shen Zaiye married them, it’s all politics (each of them are from important families and what’s the best way to keep an eye on them? marry their daughters so they have to be careful about messing with him) plus it would be extremely suspicious if a near 30 y/o man at that time wasn’t married/ never been married

the last few minutes of ep 22, is hilarious 🤣 qi qi tells huan’er that her and song cong are dating and recalls what happened on their trip, huan’er calls xichi to tell him the gossip but she is being vague when recalling (that they kissed) which leads xichi to misunderstand what huan’er meant (he thought she meant they slept together), so xichi calls song cong and calls him a scumbag while poor song cong is completely confused about what he is talking about 🤣🤣🤣🤣

yeah they dated in the novel but it’s been cut from the drama, apparently xichi also confessed earlier in the novel but got rejected

ohhhh so Xichi was the reason that so many people came to Huan’er class, i can’t believe the senior sister had him taken off stage for promoting it

i don’t particularly like bashing female characters but the senior sister is doing wayyyy too much in EPs 19/20 because she wants to get with Xichi despite him actively showing he’s not interested in her

I agree! the second half of the 5th couple’s story was cut and not satisfying unlike the first half of their story, which is sad because it was quite interesting

As for the kids…it was difficult for them to work with the child actors for the 3rd couples children so their scenes were cut while filming

1) Fan comes back in ep 35, he and Qiongnu hardly get to interact and we don’t even get to see their wedding
2) We hear from Fan that him and Kangning met up, we didn’t get to see that

5) Shouhua’s pregnancy, I wanted to see more of it because we know she wanted kids
6) What happened to the Yang family in the 3 years
7) Yang Xian realising Fan is the brother
8) Brother and Brothers in Laws interactions
9) The end of the Cui plot, Jiang dies and there is nothing else after that

they all have the same surname “Li”, whoever did the cast section here for some reason decided not to add their surname

in age order their full names are; Li Shouhua, Li Fuhui, Li Kangning, Li Haode, Li Leshan

only family can call each other by first name, you can hear characters like Chai An call Kangning “Third Young Miss Li” since they aren’t related or married, although on Netflix they decide to just translate her name directly to Kangning
