one thing i'm liking about this one that was missing from the original was the connection between the love interests. in the og version, everything was so sexual and i felt no connection between them but in this one, i feel like there's much more to root for.
if you really think about it, kimchay is giving us the angstiest plotline right now. there's no humor in their story and we knew from the start, that it was destined to burst in flames the moment it started. in this episode, chay decided to be an absolute fool and throw his admission form in the bin. now, if it was any other teenager i would understand. teenagers are beyond unreasonable when they are in love but chay is supposed to be mature and intelligent. he has gone through so much. he should know that if he doesn't do something with his life, his life could end up becoming like his uncle's: surrounded by brutal debt collectors and living from paycheck to paycheck. the saddest thing is that porsche literally put his life in danger by working as a bodyguard just so chay could go to college. it was his parents' wish and it was porsche's dream for chay to go to college. he works so hard day and night, killing people even though he hates it, but he still does it just so chay could have a good life but chay throws that in the drain (quite literally) all for a man who he didn't know for more than a few months. i wish this was all but chay decides to get drunk and he was also ready to try drugs to get over his heartbreak? this is not the chay we all knew and loved........ idk who this is because this new chay is selfish, stupid and foolish who doesn't care about his brother, his education, his life all because of a guy. nah, this ain't it.
now let's talk about kim. one thing about kim is that he knows how to show up at the right place at the right time. he did a good thing by punching that guy who was giving chay drugs and then dragging him away from that crowd. he did all that only for him to say that from now on, chay is responsible for his own decisions! like.... why did you even come then? if you had to say that, you should not have come to the club in the first place. also, chay's reaction wasn't exaggerated at all. kim used him and was so cold to him afterwards even though chay was always nice and genuine to him, why is kim getting angry when he has absolutely no right to get angry? the worst part? he left a drunk chay alone with people who tried to drug him. he could've brought a bodyguard to take chay away or forcefully dragged him out of that place but NO he left him in a dangerous situation.
i think someone needs to knock some sense into chay. someone needs to comfort him and tell him that what he is doing is wrong. he needs to focus on his life. boyfriends will come and go, but your career and passion are more important things especially at chay's age. as for kim, he should stay away from chay at all costs. all he does is make chay unhappy so even if he 'loves' chay he needs to stay tf away.
