spot on pete analysis there!! i agree he does his quite job well. in fact, he is close to perfection in performing his duties. it's also quite apparent that pete is the only one who could've taken vegas head on with his optimistic and resilient personality which vegas later becomes attracted to. at the same time, pete is not perfect, he has flaws and maybe it's the fact that he is flawed, he allows himself to fall for someone like vegas. it is ironic how pete chooses to fall someone who is very challenging as opposed to someone who is easy-going. even in his personal life, his problem-solving and resilient nature seeps through making him fall for someone who is a puzzle in himself.
