I kept from watching the show for a very long time because I was afraid of being disappointed. But I'm glad I picked it back up. It was a masterpiece. Moon Chae Won and Lee Joon Gi were spectacular. What a ride it was. I'm glad they got their own way of a happy ending. After everything they have gone through, they deserve to be happy.
I know that DanDan's stepmom was lazy and sometimes unreasonable, but she is without ill intentions. For DanDan to be hating her Dad because of her was unfair. I know that she was in the dark about what happened, but as a third party who witnessed how she was abandoned, and her stepmom saving her and her dad's life, I feel that she has NO right to put blame on her stepmom, no matter what. She was after all, alive because of her. Her father, not divorcing her stepmom was paying her for saving them both, and that was what he should do.
I don't feel sympathy for the real mom, because she cruelly abandoned her family. NO mother should abandon their child FOR ANY REASON. And if it's really necessary, then it must be to give the child a better life (but that was not the case here).
For now, I don't dislike the stepmom's family as they're not really bad people. They're also trying to earn their keep. Except for Dandan's stepbrother. OMG when is he going to mature and find a real job?
I skipped pretty much all the other families, not one interesting thing to see there.
The kids are adorable.
I have not warmed up to the ML yet.
Dan Dan...mmmm I wished she will know about her childhood soon. I don't want her to misunderstand her father about why he is not willing to divorce her stepmom. I want her to treat her stepmom better. I know, Dandan isn't mistreating her, but she condemns her stepmom for her father's unfortunate circumstances.
Happy birthday to a brilliant writer. I have enjoyed reading your works. Hope you continue to write novels that bring warmth and fluffiness to everyone.
I enjoyed the drama a lot. It was a heartwarming slice of life, healing, youth, and friendship drama. I have to say, this kid Tang Jun Sang will go places. His acting is top-notch. I couldn't nitpick anything on his acting that even his micro-expressions are on point. And, contrary to some people who didn't like his character, I loved it. His cockiness was simply cute and adorable. 10/10 for me. And can we hope for a second season please?
1. KYJ's acting. Truly top-notch.
2. Visuals
3. Occasional comedy
Things to nitpick:
1. Everything else.
