A satisfying watch. A twisted view of justice. NO. There was no justice. I loved how the leads were not portrayed as hypocritical who blabs about fighting for what is right. Instead, we have an antihero who's OP, charming, comedic, and loyal. I am glad that he did not change throughout the series and remain for who he is - a man who fights for his own freedom. Long live Vincenzo! And oh, I loved how he headshot the man who killed his mother. The effects of the splattered blood and him holding the gun when the man fell was epic.
Baobeir Lei Lei has grown up into such a fine young man. I am a proud jie jie here. I can't wait till he turns 22 mwahahahahahahaha *wink* (you know what I mean) (another evil laugh)
Lin Yi and Lulu have undeniable sizzling chemistry. I love this OTP more than Sunshine. Lin Yi accurately portrays the passionate young man in love and the director fully exploited that angle. I just love how Jing gege holds Ling Chen. And the intensity of his gazes is heart-melting.
I dropped this after the ML broke up with FL and shamelessly chased her again just because. Who does he think he is? I honestly think 'just because' because the reason for breaking up with her was shit.
This was the best of the recently premiered BLs I've seen. Thai BL show-runners are stepping up their game, thanks to the competition from SK, Japan, and Taiwan. I specially love Gene. His acting and his micro-expressions are always on point - especially the 'disbelieving expression' ones. Plus he's really handsome! The kind where I won't get tired staring at it all day. He has the nerdy boyfriend-next-door vibe.
Such a fresh, interesting and intriguing premise!!! It was perfect!!! But there is soooo much more that can be explored. Boundless possibilities. Out of the world theories. Can they turn this into a full romance-thriller show please???? NETFLIX you there???
Why are Korean BL sooooo high quality? Not that I'm complaining, but looking back on all the BL shows I've watched before, I couldn't help but lament how desperate I was to have ever watched such bad acting, cliche, poorly directed series. This show is so much different from the so many college BL shows out there, and being a thriller fan, I'm looking forward to what the show will bring and how the actors will deliver.
Ep 1 down and I can feel the darkness creeping up on me. What an interesting premise. Hope this will be explored well and won't disappoint. I also love the opening and ending songs.
It was a mess. I thought it was dark dark, but nope, not one I haven't seen. Was the backstory borrowed from 'What's wrong with Secretary Kim'? It was pretty similar. I skipped 90% of the scenes for the last 5-6 episodes. I didn't like how the brother was just forgiven just like that. What he did to the FL was unforgivable and so inhumane. For them to treat it as nothing happened was beyond me.
Anyway, the only salvageable part of this series was the chemistry between our leads.
Two beautiful leads. It was the first time I saw Miles, and I love his close up shots. He has such beautiful pair of peach blossom eyes that I often see commonly described in novels. And he's so fair! Even fairer than the female lead. Anyway it was a short and sweet show. But it did not leave any deep impression on me.
1. When Joonho broke down on their wedding day. His pitiful look contrasted with the brilliance of wildflowers made the scene beyond heartbreaking yet poetic. 2. When Yeona met Joonho to say goodbye. Joonho was desperate. He wanted to be with her, but because he promised to Yeona that he will look for her, he can only grieve and live with the anguish. 3. When he finally found Yeona. How awful he must have felt that moment. I can't help but get my heart constricted as well. 4. When he found out he's the real grandson and blamed himself for Yeona's death. The scene of him losing it in his room while staring at their photo, I thought he won't make it. I could feel his pain. It was such a horrible nightmare.
I only wish that in their next life, they would only know of happiness and live a hundred years together.
OMG I'm inlove with this show! It's far from the recent dramas that came out. They have adult, mature conversations that normally would only occur at 3AM. I love the FL's personality, and how gentle the ML is, despite being naive at how the world spins. I also liked the secondary characters. They all have their own unique characteristics that kept me glued to my screen. I laughed a ton. But I also get to pause and think about the countless unfairness of today's society. It's only 6 episodes far, but I hope to see more of them and how the characters develop further.
My baby Zanillia is incredibly cuuuute. She is the perfect description of the female leads I often read in LNs, especially the radiance in her eyes when she smiles. Her chemistry with Zhang Han is off the charts and their interaction were so natural it felt so real. They're so adorable and really looked good together.
Ok, so the only part I liked about this drama is the romance part. All 3 OTPs have their own fluff and adorable moments. Although I really hated how manipulative and a total jerk the ML was at first. Then I hated the ML's mother. No mother should abandon their own child. No mother should love her husband before her child. The mother lost her right to be the ML's mother the moment she abandoned him at his most confused state.
I actually thought Xu Kai was the only male lead for Bai Lu. Turns out Leo is a perfect match too! Wow! They had EXPLOSIVE chemistry! Like seriously! The way they looked at each other was burning with passion! Love them both. And seriously Leo? Why so beautiful???
4 episodes in and I'm loving Fang Shiyu to the nines! What an adorable little lady. Her acting is so spot on!
At Ep. 15, I still love Shiyu mei mei the best but I acquired a negative feeling about the FL, almost hating her. 1. Because of her mumbling 2. She has such a soft voice and her personality or lack thereof is tasteless 3. I can't just like her acting
