(satisfied sigh) Ling Miaomiao is the best to have ever happened in c-drama fantasy world. This woman is such a wonder to watch. She is gorgeous and kind and everything that I needed. XinXinzi has outdone herself again. Bravo!!!
I love the setup so far, the characters, and the overall feel of the show. My favorite is Ep 7. It was uneventful but I could feel the nostalgia. I think this is also the real beginning of the FL realising his feelings for ML and how she will go forward.
The first verse of the opening song sounds too much like LYN. I thought he sang the song for his good brother Yu Shishan but the tone changed during the chorus.
For some reason, I feel so bad for the Queen. She's too virtuous. She might not be the kindest or has the purest intention, but given what she went through, she just wanted a way to survive, and to do that, she can close her eyes to almost anything...from her family's cruel treatment of her to her husband's indifference. The King was too hung up on his first love that he used basically every woman without considering the outcome, so we get to see a Queen looking at her husband pining for another woman for so long. I wished the King realized his feelings for the Queen much sooner because I honestly thought the way he looked at her later on was brimming with repressed affections. Anyway, that's just my thoughts on her. She's too good nobody deserved her.
As for WCH, I was pleasantly surprised. The last time I saw her in was with another good looking guy from a drama with some Fireworks on it, and we all know how that turned out...so I was not expecting anything...But man this this this! I have to stand and do a slow clap for this gorgeous woman. She carried most of the show. This pairing with ZWY is also not bad, although I wished ZWY would have been taller but oh well, we cannot get everything we want.
As for the production, one of the top notch I've seen this year. Gorgeous sets, Costumes, cinematography, and most of all, the theme, pacing and overall storytelling was decent. I love the occasional, timely comedy.
Bottomline, I enjoyed it with minimal speed through each episodes.
omg the FL is so hard to watch. The first two installments of the series were great with little to complain about acting. But this FL is so cringe. Damn! Can I get a Sam main story instead? She's my favorite person from the 1st and 2nd series.
Whoa, after over 2 decades of not watching a Filipino drama, I was pleasantly surprised of this mini series. The quality is not the worst, the sets are decent, most importantly, the storytelling isn't all that bad! The acting was also decent especially from the ML. He hit all his emotional scenes. I was convinced. Only minor issue is the FL in her emotional scenes, this gorgeous woman does not know how to cry. But all other scenes were ok. The chemistry is electrifying. When they stare at each other with so much passion and intensity I find myself squealing. I also love the friendship. Sam won the best bestfriend award. Her presence, her advices, her words of comfort and her support made all the difference.
Rewatched one of the best thriller with the most satisfying wrap ever created ever. I've said this again and again, both leads were phenomenal. SHK, I got no words. That level of acting is ridiculous! YJG, despite his young age didn't actually lose much. He got this screen charisma that everytime he makes an expression of disbelief as smirks and tilts his head and moves his tongue, I fall on my knees! If this is the first time you're seeing this show, DO NOT see spoilers. You will be able to appreciate more the progression and all the twists. Trust me.
Despite the may comments about a censored BL, I didn't see or felt it in any way. Their relationship was more of growing to trust and respect each other as human beings. I was actually manifesting Juwon and Jaeyi OTP. Too bad that didn't happen but they make such a good pairing.

I had to say, I knew Bible has always been so hawt, but man, seeing him here again made me realize how much I missed his baddie style.
I just have a strange feeling of doom about to happen. I hope I'm just overthinking it.
