SWL was not abusive or so temperamental over the years. He totally trusts Gao Tu and is fully dependent on him and compensates him far above the standard range.

Gao Tu’s heats are a recent occurrence and since then SWL has been jealous of the “omega partner” Gao Tu has been spending the heats with. He is textbook tsundere seme.

He never comes clean. Their entire relationship is just based on a facade that HY puts on.

That’s why I can’t get invested in their relationship, it’s full on manipulation to the very end.

Just watch Reset and Memoir of Rati, only two currently airing Thai bls which are well made and entertaining.

Only watched the Ramil/Paytai scene. Keeping aside the toxicity, the direction and the cinematography was weird. I think that’s the problem with this show and much of Thai bl in general. The direction/editing/writing is usually so poor/stiff that it’s tough to get immersed in the show and truly feel something.

Still, the Ramil/Paytai arc is the only touching subplot in this series, imo.

This show is objectively not good ( the dubbing, direction, editing etc is pretty amateurish) but Gao Tu is my little princess baby girl and I just want to see his hurt/comfort arc and Shen wen Lang chasing after him when he runs away.

The last scene by the river is so beautiful! The two gorgeous men, the sweeping music, the lovely words …

Actually no, it’s not based on algorithm because I am referring to general twitter bl accounts and hashtags for the overall show. Check the most liked tweet for the show, it’s for Gai Tu. Search the show’s hashtag on Twitter and see which character comes up the most.

On Reddit there is no algorithm, there’s just comments on posts. Similarly for Tumblr, search the show’s hashtag and see which character is discussed and giffed the most.

I am not referring to China of course, because they have different websites, but for the rest of the world, as of now, there’s a clear fan fave character.

It’s all subjective and different people are watching for different things. But as of right now, most comments here, on Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit etc are focused on Gai Tu. He is the only omega in this omegaverse story and the only sympathetic character. Plus his acting is the most natural. There’s a reason why he is the fan fave right now.

I have read the novel too and I am not invested in the storyline of the main couple because it’s repetitive, but I’m sure others will like it because taste is subjective after all.

Yeah, in an omegaverse story, the only omega is obviously going to be a fan fave. That’s pretty expected.

The actual core of the show is repetitive in terms of the manipulation. I read the book and it’s the same beats playing out in Sheng and Hua Yong’s storyline to the end. I can’t get engaged in a love story based solely on fakeness from start to finish. Also, this is the first ABO universe LA, so it’s all rare, not just the enigma twist.

I hope Gao Tu has much more screen time hopefully. His acting is also the best in the show and carries it IMO.

The vaguely robotic acting, the bg music and the slow pace is not really doing the show any favors, but I’m getting way too invested in Gao Tu 🥲🥲

This is such a good series. Best Thai bl airing right now! Like Reset is very entertaining too, but so cheesy at times. This series on the other hand is elegantly executed.

Rati and Thee give me butterflies 😊

It started off well, there are some good moments, but idk, it became too messy by the end.

I do want another series with AitMawin though, the two actors are very good.

This is a lakorn, so they are all doing soap opera acting. Armin is very over the top too, esp in the earlier episodes.

Most of Thai bl suffers from bland and half baked storylines, gmmtv or non gmmtv. Out of all the aspects of filmmaking, Thai bl really needs to improve writing the most, their plots are so fucking mid. Having said that, I will say that the best written Thai bl airing right now is Gmmtv’s Memoirs of Rati. Reset is entertaining but the storyline is kinda stupid for that too lol.

Skimmed through the novel for the second couple’s story and I love it, but they will have very little screentime I guess 😕

The manipulation in the main couple’s story goes on way too long. I don’t think I can get invested in a love story where one person basically hides their true self to the very end.
