I liked Gawin in most of his previous roles but here I couldn’t buy his acting at all.

I don’t know anything about their personalities or personal lives. By personal vibes I meant by the way they look, their personal gestures and mannerisms, the way of speaking etc. They look very similar and that gives brother vibes to me personally.

lol I agree. It’s feels very unnatural to see Gawin act the way he acts in this show. The pouty, immature vibe? He can’t pass for a young student, it looks like play acting.

Also, Gawin and Joss are so similar in vibes that I can’t see them as lovers, they feel like bros.

And my response to you stands. Asking for a comparison after one (1) episode has aired is being either deliberately obtuse or an exercise in futility.

No he doesn’t. Nunew’s accent does not even remotely sound like the character grew up in England. The “England” scenes are laughable and totally ruins immersion is anyone is concerned about authenticity.

How is anyone supposed to give a serious and reasonably thought out answer to that after one episode? Bffr

This show is unrealistic but at least it moves fast and is not boring. Didn’t expect the twist at the end of the episode.

I wish Thun and Keen didn’t get together so fast, I was enjoying their flirting phase, but they are very cute together. Ait and Mawin are so hot together, esp in the last episode! I like Mawin so much, he has such a cute face.

Yeah, that scene was so weird and flat out insane, I’m choosing to ignore it, because it’s just irredeemable.

Like I said, consent issues between the protagonists are typically a feature of bodice rippers. The plot then follows the repercussions and redemption arc. But in case of a tertiary character, there won’t be any follow ups, which is why the scene was such a “wtf” to me.

I liked the rest of the episodes, so ya, for my peace of mind I’m just gonna pretend that scene didn’t happen.

I’m sorry, but wtf? I’m so confused about the tone of this series. It’s comedic sometimes and then suddenly the ML punishes an underlying by arranging his r*pe? That’s completely irredeemable.

I understand the genre is dog blood, but the execution has to be done in a certain way to be remotely palatable. Bodice rippers mostly have an element of dubcon/noncon when it comes to the relationship between the protagonists. That often plays into the characters arcs and progresses the plot into future redemption. But setting up a tertiary character to be sexually assaulted just for the sake of cruelty, that just makes out the ML to be sordid and creepy. This is not morally grey territory here, it’s just psychopathic.

I’m still processing it, because wtf?

It ran out of steam a long time back lol. I didn’t even check out the last 2-3 episodes. Don’t even feel the urge to.

There’s no hook to this series.

Oat is such a great actor, put him in at least 10 more shows! Pretty, charismatic, good at acting AND chemistry? He’s like the perfect package for a bl actor lol

That’s not how it is though? The show has shown multiple times how Sorn takes care of Jun, both sexually and in the non-sexual context. Like feeding him, driving him around, looking after him when he’s hurt or drunk, l moving him in closer to the office, etc. A lot of his caring manifests via nagging and scolding, but at this point of the show even outsiders like the interns have commented on how much Sorn cares for Jun.

The NC scenes are also focused on Jun’s pleasure most of the time.

The tone of this show is weird, slapstick to weirdly dramatic, I think it’s the background music and Pond acting so highly strung all the time.

Yeah, the pace of the show is a bit slow in general and the last two episodes drag so much.

But the chemistry and acting is great.

I like the chemistry and the romance arc between the leads, but the industry stuff is kinda stupid and badly done IMO. Also, the pace of the show is a bit slow to me. Instead of the unrealistic industry portrayal, I wish they had fleshed out the 21 days arc of falling in love.

Maybe that’s why it’s not clicking for you yet.

In the book he says he only goes for older people because that way no one will ever be able to accuse him of taking advantage of someone young ever again.

He specifically doesn’t wanna date Jun because of the Tai connection. He sleeps with Jun because, well, he can’t resist lol
