For KimMon, my initial thought was that it would turn out Mon liked someone else and Kim would be heartbroken but start helping Mon get his crush, in the mean time Mon would fall for Kim due to his kind nature. For KitShane, the enemies to lovers bickering could be prolonged further.
Romance tropes are popular for a reason. Too fast buildup is just not that interesting, audiences need to see why a pair falls for each other.

Iām glad they chose the actors that they did fr. To film the scenes that they are doing, they definitely need older and experienced actors, and to find a 30 year old who passes as a college student very believably, plus can act really well, the casting team were not slacking.
For the NC scene, I will defer to gay men and their lived experience. Also, maybe this is controversial, but I think sex between 2 men may not always have the same sexual energy as the sex scene between a man and a woman. Itās not unrealistic to me that the portrayal of sex between two men may look slightly rougher on the average than that showed between a man and a woman on tv.

The thing is, I donāt even like NC scenes too much š explicit or lengthy NC stuff is not for me. But somehow I donāt mind them in this series? I think itās because this series portrays desire and enjoyment between the characters very well. Itās not just two actors slurping all over each other and showing skin in awkward camera angles. Most importantly, I think the leads, esp Jun, can act even beyond NC scenes. I agree with you, casting the right actors, who are older and can actually act, makes a big difference.
I too would have liked seeing them prolong the flirting phase. The way Keen initiated the seduction in the shower but then gets flustered repeatedly by Thun making advances, itās very cute. They are very sweet together, so hopefully the spark stays alive lol.
