These guys are far better actors than Payu and Rain, and though this part is subjective, better looking too. The acting prowess is not even subjective, these guys are objectively better, esp Oat.
Starting in episode 4, I wished every time Jun would finally say NO! However, Jun clearly has a soft spot for…
Sorn doesnāt want to acknowledge his feelings for Jun for two reasons. A) he doesnāt want to date younger people because he doesnt want to be accused of taking advantage of their feelings and he doesnāt want drama. B) he doesnāt want Tai to know.
The fact that he is sleeping with Jun is because he just couldnāt help himself lol
He did tell Jun they were gonna be FWBs without feelings. Later on he admits that he has been in love with Jun for years, heās just in denial.
Oat is such a great actor. He portrays Jun perfectly - fun, sweet, a little bratty but also emotionally mature. Having read the novel, he also captures Junās inner feelings so well.
Speaking as someone who doesnāt even like NC scenes much, this show is the most entertaining bl airing right now lol. The power of good acting, great chemistry ( even in non NC scenes) and likeable characters.
I won't lie. I find myself coming back to this show mainly for the chemistry between the leads. Otherwise, the…
What is so incoherent about the show though? Itās slice of life. So itās just following two characters and taking the viewers through a few months of their lives.
Yes, the HR violations of the office are staggering, but otherwise the storyline makes sense, itās just normal life.
Is it just me, or does this series feature an overwhelming number of characters? If you include Sunās friends…
Thereās dialogue where Sun says that he will get revenge on Junho after getting their power/territory back with Joeās help. Heās playing along for now.
Sun's boyfriend died in his arms while kissing, Peace met him when trying to k!ll himself because of the life…
Uni and school BLs are still the most popular genre in the domestic and SEA markets. Gmmtv or other companies are not going to stop making the kind of Bls liked the most by their primary market.
not this againwhy the hell can people not enjoy 2 actors..instead of forcing and projecting their fantasies onto…
Every shipper thinks their personal favourite ship is special and real. They interpret every interaction or incident as āevidenceā justifying that bias.
Actorsā personal lives have nothing to do with the quality of the series, which is what this forum is meant to discuss.
Its YAOI, what do you expect? :D Yama nashi, Ochi nashi, Imi nashi ("no climax, no point, no meaning"). This is…
The difference is that there is no hook to keep the audience engaged in this series. In My Stubborn everyone wants to see a) Sorn open up about his feelings and crash out about Jun, b) how the two of them actually get together.
For this series there is nothing interesting to look forward to.
The sets are so pretty, I want to live in the painting classroom in the university.
The rest of it is just kinda ⦠bland? The direction lacks flair. Thereās no weight to the characters, the story flows from one scene to another without contributing much to either plot or characterisation. Itās not as lighthearted as Princess Diaries yet thereās no emotional intensity either.
Right now Iām only invested in the Ramil/Paytai story, and they get 10 mins per episode, so thatās unfortunate.
Great start! Love that the pace of the story is so fast, other series can learn from this lol. Slow burn romance but fast paced storyline is the best combo.
Looks like Thada is repeating the time reset as well, right?
While I agree with some of what you wrote, I got intrigued by your comment that "lack of an interesting storyline…
High school love stories stories can have an interesting storyline. There needs to be a hook to make the viewers look forward to this show week after week.
Like MSP had the music contest and the long term pining. Love Sick had the will they wonāt they dynamic, love rivals etc. Even Your Sky, which I donāt think is good, had the fake dating hook to keep audiences engaged.
For KimMon, my initial thought was that it would turn out Mon liked someone else and Kim would be heartbroken but start helping Mon get his crush, in the mean time Mon would fall for Kim due to his kind nature. For KitShane, the enemies to lovers bickering could be prolonged further.
Romance tropes are popular for a reason. Too fast buildup is just not that interesting, audiences need to see why a pair falls for each other.
Almost 60% of the series is over and itās still at the same level popularity wise as at the starting. This is probably going to be another Only Boo situation, liked by its few fans but not breaking out or reaching wider audiences.
There are lots of things to admire about this show, namely the direction, production and most of the acting, but the lack of an interesting storyline sabotages it. The boys are all cute but thereās no tension or any particular hook to keep the audiences interested.
Iām glad they chose the actors that they did fr. To film the scenes that they are doing, they definitely need older and experienced actors, and to find a 30 year old who passes as a college student very believably, plus can act really well, the casting team were not slacking.
For the NC scene, I will defer to gay men and their lived experience. Also, maybe this is controversial, but I think sex between 2 men may not always have the same sexual energy as the sex scene between a man and a woman. Itās not unrealistic to me that the portrayal of sex between two men may look slightly rougher on the average than that showed between a man and a woman on tv.
The sex scenes need much more praise. Those two look great when kissing and touching. I'm not the biggest fan…
The thing is, I donāt even like NC scenes too much š explicit or lengthy NC stuff is not for me. But somehow I donāt mind them in this series? I think itās because this series portrays desire and enjoyment between the characters very well. Itās not just two actors slurping all over each other and showing skin in awkward camera angles. Most importantly, I think the leads, esp Jun, can act even beyond NC scenes. I agree with you, casting the right actors, who are older and can actually act, makes a big difference.
I too would have liked seeing them prolong the flirting phase. The way Keen initiated the seduction in the shower but then gets flustered repeatedly by Thun making advances, itās very cute. They are very sweet together, so hopefully the spark stays alive lol.
There are many people who love uni/school bls. Well made fluff will always be loved and companies will continue to make them

He needs to give the fillers a rest, heās been abusing them non stop for years.

The second couple is awesome too!
