This is how you do a NC heavy bl series - make it sexy and funny and sweet. Full credit to the leads, they can act, they are good looking AND they have great chemistry together.

There’s no plot but I don’t mind that since this is a slice of life series, it’s just showing their daily lives. Also, zero plot is better than a bad or boring plot.

Gmmtv failing their scripts, what else is new 🫤

Gmmtv is usually competent in their direction/production/acting departments but their scripts are so often flimsy and/or bland. Idk why they don’t hire more writers. Tbf, other Thai bl series scripts are also bad or even worse, so it seems to be an industry wide problem.

Yep, that’s my main complaint about this series, that the build up is lacking. The direction/editing/production values are top notch and the boys are super cute, but the actual meat of the love stories are not there. That’s why this series is not blowing up like My School President.

I’m with you, KimMon have that extra it factor in their chemistry, but they are let down by the storyline. I don’t fault Aston for promoting like crazy lol, he needs to secure the main lead bl series in the next lineup.

That doesn’t make sense either though, since the vast majority of Gmmtv’s BL pairings are intact and continue to make more BL series. Not saying what you said won’t happen, but that’s hardly Gmmtv’s play book.

Who?

This is a slice of life series, not plot driven. Jun getting injured and Sorn taking care of him shows their relationship progression. Sorn is comfortable being caring towards Jun in public, other characters notice their behavior towards each other. Sorn sees how easily Jun shows affection towards Tai and he clearly wants that for himself.

I giggled like a fool at the forehead kiss 😍 both of them are so pretty!

This show is so simple and plotless and yet so enjoyable, it’s crazy. This is coming from someone who generally doesn’t even like NC scene heavy shows!

Don’t speak that into existence please! I can’t believe someone can be so stiff even after 4 lead roles. He has chemistry with Joong sometimes, but the rest of the time …

KimMon have little depth because they have very little screen time. They need more time and a meaty script for them to portray depth.

I agree that the acting from Sorn and Jun is quite good, but I also don’t see anyone calling them stiff? Maybe the second couple, I don’t get their appeal, but the leads are not bad at all.

At this point MDL should have a template response for all sensitive users to link to whenever they see anybody writing even the slightest criticism about any show they stan. Because nobody says anything different, it’s always the exact same sentences.

I dont skip everyone else because I quite like them, but ChokunAston have the biggest spark. It’s unfortunate they have such little buildup and screen time. Gmmtv better have a great script with lead roles ready for them next year, they have huge potential if only they get the proper material.

Fantasy doesnt mean illogical. Good fantasy has its internal set of rules within its own universe and universal human emotions should exist even within fantasy, otherwise everything is meaningless.

He doesn’t really force kisses on him though. The first time he kissed Jun at the koi pond, he asked. The time he helped out in the car he asked as well. Then when they started their whole teaching session, he asked permission for that too.

Asking about who Jun is with is a base level of possessiveness without which this show might as well not exist, if Sorn doesn’t care about that there is no story. To be clear, I’m not saying his behavior is healthy, just it’s not super toxic or red flag.

Most toxic and biggest red flag though? He’s confused and emotionally repressed, but he's not that bad lol.

I really enjoyed the show in the beginning but the ending dragged so much … on a rewatch, I agree with you. It’s still a good show, but the acting/chemistry is the outstanding element, not the script/storyline.

Doing a rewatch and just realized this series is painfully slow at times. The two leads’ acting/chemistry is marvellous, whenever their relationship is portrayed onscreen, it’s great. But the rest of the series, including the industry bits and within-universe shows they act in, is mostly boring and unrealistic. The acting deserves the high rating but the overall series is not up to the same standard.

I very much want the cast to act in a faster paced, better scripted show in the future, instead of a continuation of this series.

It’s clearly not two lead couples, I don’t know why it even says that. KitShane gets most of the screen time, always. Which is fine, they are cute too, but I need ChokunAston to have a separate series where they are the actual leads.

Guilty pleasure show which I’m actually enjoying?! I usually get bored and dnf similar shows like Bad Guy my boss, Cutie Pie, Big Dragon, LITA 1st half. I think the leads of this show are somehow really appealing, I’m enjoying them. Fastfowarding through the rest though
