yes the original person wangquansheng is gay that's why there's bl,but I think there's an extra scene or something about his story after the show ends.(I watched the Chinese original version so I'm not sure if it's the same) anyways yes he's gay,he didn't really get accepted and got bullied because he liked this guy and yea he committed suicide,so liziwei woke up in his body and he didn't die after all

for this part ,they entered the dream of Jiao as characters in jiao’s life.they were chosen as those characters because of their similarity to those in jiao’s life.for lss,she entered the dream as that character because that character wanted to be like lss,be brave and courageous when making decisions,for ttj,it’s basically because he’s kinda going through some things like jiao and jiao wishes to see how someone else will make the decision.for the other characters its mainly due to similarity in their personalities

i think it's definitely harder for them to film the gaming scenes like love 020 like literally asking the actors to act them out is a little impossible cuz some of the characters have very weird gears and are not exactly humans like ughh they really did a wonderful job already with the nice colours and animation why cant these people just appreciate their hard work
