this drama was an unexpectedly good watch, the plot didn’t really interest me at the start, but it just kept being better. you see the main leads going through all sorts of struggles, from doubting and not trusting each other, to eventually being there for one another. the found family trope was executed really well too, and the plot was intriguing especially in the second half. it was so complex and surprising, each time I thought I could predict what’s gonna happen, the scriptwriters prove me wrong.

this show was a mixture of mystery, Wuxia and fantasy, a real refreshing story told well. it felt like the Chinese equivalent of stranger things but with more concepts mixed together. it also had many plot twists that kept making me go “huh??? how?? what??”

it is a hidden gem for sure

i think it’s tough, the viewership ratings for this drama wasn’t considered good (peak was at 4333 ), actors aren’t super well known, and it’s a niche genre… i also recall reading about the team’s struggles in getting investment to film this show …. we can only pray because it’s a story with lots of potential

definitely! considering this isn’t the typical kind of ending in modern c dramas, it was pretty unexpected, which made it even more pleasant to watch.

that scene was incredible, i had to rewatch to observe their expressions closely, it was nicely written and executed! i honestly thought they were gonna arrange some kind of proposal scene after that, but glad that didn’t happen, cuz this ending will stick longer

i interpreted it as an open ending, you do not see them confessing/ kissing each other. she has given subtle hints that she is into him too, but he is oblivious as ever… their story is to be completed!

watching this show has been an enjoyable and incredible journey, seeing the ratings, comments and viewers increase day by day was heartening, it most definitely deserves all this love and attention ! thank you to the incredible director, scriptwriters, actors, singers, designers…, the entire cast and crew for all the hard work put in. thank you for gifting us the best version of Love Between Lines 💗 till we meet again!

the last episode was so nice to watch, finally no more dramatic scenes and misunderstandings, just a nice peaceful ending! what a way to tie back to the beginning of it all.

the ending Easter egg scene was adorable! it’s an ending I have yet to see in other modern c-dramas, happy this does not have the typical marriage/baby ending, what a way to end the story, it’s been a lovely experience. every ending is a new beginning 💗

i think I have only seen clips of chen here and there, so my impression of him is reserved and “steady”/ trustworthy. have yet to see the other sides to him so far but he’s been a gentleman in the bts clips I have seen, which is pretty sweet

off screen lu and dai are quirky and funny, while chen is more serious (?) but lu and dai are really on the same wavelength :) their promotional videos have been so funny to watch. it’s also funny to watch chen and dai in bts videos though, they look like they share a great relationship

yes he is, I find him charming! and he definitely knows his character well enough to make this suggestion, this was definitely a value add to the scene

the scriptwriter definitely did this intentionally, it genuinely felt like a pun and some foreshadowing! something has to happen after all this coffee buying from gong …. anyway if you’re into spoilers about the 2 of them, check out the clip and you’ll probably get your answer

hmm! I went to search for the clip, I think she went to find him after the slap? and overheard him talking to his team about the compensation of the props, don’t really remember the exact details you mentioned but it was this scene. this scene felt sudden to me, because I vaguely remember this scene was not directly related to the scene before or after, but since every scene definitely has its purpose, I saw this scene as foreshadowing :)

can i just say I am not surprised by the gong x zhao storyline? ….. episodes ago when the story just started (I think), zhao randomly went to gong’s VR place after the slap happened to talk about compensation (?) at that point of time, I was like huhhhhhhh, what a random scene, it felt like it came out of nowhere ….. they must be planning something between those two, guess I was right!

the behind the scenes of the lift scene (hu, Pei, xiao and the staff) was pretty funny! the change that chen xing xu made was really logical as well, this gave me a good laugh

considering the streaming platforms are obsessed with making money, I think there will be an express package, looking at the airing calendar, think the package will be available next Wednesday/ Thursday ? because typically, the last 4-6 episodes will be available together

i don’t think they cut it, if you think about it, the cherry blossom scene was one, and the alley kissing scene was another one, they filmed it separately but it was just edited together for an overlap? because the cherry blossom one was her delusion from the mushroom, the alley kiss was what actually happened, so they perhaps counted these as two separate ones on the schedule

i feel so happy seeing the ratings of this show go up continuously! kudos to the entire team for delivering such a heartwarming project, even before this show finishes airing, i am confident this will become a comfort drama of mine 💗 incredible visuals, chemistry, performance, costumes, vibes, OST. this show deserves all the love in the world !! happy to be starting my 2026 drama journey with a bang

this show is literally at his typical level of performance, high quality romance, cinematography, chemistry, OST and visuals… can’t wait for more of his shows

i feel you! i feel so conflicted about this, i want more scenes with them together but what if the plot is extended unnecessarily and it gets draggy and boring, ruining the overall experience 😭 i guess i need to have some faith in the director, he has always done an incredible job managing the pace, relationship, cinematography and OST … fingers crossed 🤞
