Really?? Is she like evil to the female lead or hates her,?
She is definitely mean to the female lead, but not sure if she hates her. But she has made it clear she doesn't want her son to be with the female lead. But not only that the way she treats her son isn't great either. She gets mad that he won't do EVERYTHING she wants and date/marry the kind of woman she wants. And have the kind of job she wants him to have. And because he isn't doing what she wants she has taken his money and won't let him have it. And also has kicked him out of the house and changed the locks when he is the owner of the house. He bought the house and lets his parents live there, but she kicks him out and changes the locks.
Where I am from her taking his money and kicking him out of a home that he bought is not acceptable or legal. Neither is trying to control your 28 year old son/daughter. But I'm trying to be understanding of the fact that it is a different culture and different laws. So things that are unacceptable or illegal where I am from may be acceptable and legal other places.
Please no! Even if he still loves her, his love is toxic. The way he mishandles her and physically overpowers…
That's not true that ML has done nothing when his mom was mean to Qin Shi. He has multiple times said things to his mom about her treatment of Qin Shi and how it is inappropriate and how she can't be disrespectful and hurt her. So I'm confused on how exactly he has done nothing. I mean he has at least told his mom that it's inappropriate and not to do it. That's more than the ex did (at least in the scene they showed with his mom). It isn't ML's fault that his mom hasn't listened to him and stopped mistreating Qin Shi but what else is he supposed to do? He obviously isn't going to get violent with his mom to make her stop.
And to why would I want Qin Shi to be with ML instead of SML well that's because the ML isn't abusive to her. He has never grabbed her and dragged her against her will. He has never physically overpowered her. And yes he has no typical job at the moment but he still makes money trading stocks. So as long as he is making an income what difference does it really make if he does it at home or an office job? Plus even though he has no job now he could always get one, and I'm sure if Qin Shi made it clear to him that she would prefer it and he really loved her then he might get a job, but she hasn't. So far she is fine with the arrangement even said she liked having a househusband. Of course that could change in the future but right now it's working for her. But someone who is abusive most times will not change and will always be abusive.
If Qin Shi is with ML and he refuses to ever get a job and it bothers her she can always end the relationship and walk away without any physical or mental wounds or scars. Would she be able to do the same with SML?

He does know his mom doesn't like Qin Shi and was mean to her he told Wu Fei that his mom didn't like Qin Shi. And he was there at his mom's house with Qin Shi when his mom was insulting Qin Shi because of her family situation and she forbid him from marrying Qin Si saying that it would bring disgrace to his family. She was so mean Qin Shi ran out crying and he chased after her. Why should she get back together with him and be mistreated by his mom? At least Yang Hua stood up to his mom for her unlike her ex.
And as far as him physically overpowering her, he grabbed her by her wrist and dragged her into the men's bathroom then pinned her against the wall by both of her wrists. She told him to stop and let her go and he did not listen she then told him if he didn't let her go she would scream. Grabbing her wrists, dragging her and pinning her against the wall is assault. Especially when she told him to let her go and he didn't. That behavior had nothing to do with being protective or mature.
Of course everyone has their own opinions and I can respect that. But I just can't tolerate any man who handles and treats a woman like that. So I'm really glad that she isn't going to end up with him.
what did she do? i have watched up to ep 18, slightly skipping some of the buisness scenes .is it from previews?
I don't know if her behavior is really understandable, but I'm from western culture where that behavior is neither acceptable or legal. Taking someone's money and kicking them out of a home that they own will get you arrested here even if it is your kid. It isn't even acceptable for parents to interfere in their kids lives after age 18 in western culture. So it is a bit strange for me to see a parent treating their 28 year old son/daughter that way. Of course i realize and understand different cultures and different laws. But the money and house thing seemed like too much and that she went too far for me. But again different cultures and I can respect that and in no way mean any disrespect.

She is too controlling of her son who is 28 years old. He is not a child and can make his own decisions but she still wants to make decisions for him. And if he doesn't do what she wants she acts petty. She took his money that he earned and won't let him have it, kicked him out of the house and changed the locks when he is the one that bought that house with his own money so technically it is his house not hers so she shouldn't be able to kick him out. And she did these things because he wouldn't date and marry a woman she wanted. She even went to Qin Shi's work causing trouble. These things have already happened in the drama within the first 10 episodes. And she has been giving him a hard time about Qin Shi the whole time.
Can someone enlighten me pleaseee!Ep16: What is the yellow box that Yang Hua gave Qin Shi?Also what was Qin Shi's…
He gave her a cell phone because hers got broken when she was attacked in the parking garage. And her message I believe she sent him a red envelope "dowry".
From episode teasers on WeTV, it looks like they’re still not back together on episode 26. We’ll just have…
Oh lord I HATE long breakups in dramas. Especially when they are unnecessary and don't really make sense. This drama is going to test my patience and my sanity lol!! But thanks for the reply. I guess just have to wait and see like you said.
I agree with everything except Hom and Peak. That was completely the wrong time and place to have that conversation.…
I can see what you are saying about them trying to show that Peak will be there for her through the tough time. And perhaps I wouldn't have minded so much if somewhere in that conversation he had at least asked her how she was doing/holding up. Asked her if she needed anything, or if there was anything he could do to help her get through the tough time. If he had said anything that sounded supportive of the situation she is going through. At least those are words I would have wanted to hear rather than hearing someone's feelings for me at that moment. And these things would have made it obvious that he was willing to be there for her through it. But there was nothing like that said in the entire conversation. Cake kept hugging Eiw and saying supportive and comforting words. But nothing like that at all from Peak, it just felt insensitive to me. But i know people see, think and feel differently about things and have different opinions and I respect that. It just didn't feel right to me. But perhaps they did include that scene for the purpose you said so I will try to look past it. Still overall love the series and that one scene can't change that. And thank you so much, maybe my experience made me take this more seriously than I should have.
He said “love to me might not be so important. When there’s no goal in life, being in a relationship is better…
Thanks!! So things have been changed quite a bit from the novel. Just have to wait and see what happens I guess. But I hope in the drama he also fights to get her back.

But according to the trailer for ep 26 they are still not back together. At least as far as I understand. The trailer didn't have subs so couldn't understand everything. I hope they don't have 2 breakups in the drama. I have dropped dramas before because of long breakups. Became too frustrated and impatient waiting for them to get back together. I really hope that doesn't end up happening with this drama because as I said I like both the ML and FL actors and want to continue for them. I hope my patience can hold out. But thanks anyways for the info, I appreciate it.

Thanks!! He does fight to get her back though right? But from what I'm understanding it might be a long break up. I really don't like long break ups in dramas/series. I was hoping the breakup would last 2 or 3 episodes at most but looks like it will be longer than that which really disappoint me. I am going to try and hang in there because I like Timmy, this is my first drama with Victoria and I am liking her.
He said “love to me might not be so important. When there’s no goal in life, being in a relationship is better…
That just doesn't make sense to me. The relationship is not important to him anymore so he breaks up with her. But yet they end up getting back together? And I've heard that he is the one that works hard to get her back (at least in the novel). Wonder if it will be the same in the drama? But either way break up because the relationship is no longer important but then get back together. Does it suddenly become important again? What is really going through his head? And yes I agree he is not firm enough in rejecting Fei'er and has caused a lot of hurt to Xiao Ran so why would she take him back? Anyways thanks so much for answering.
