it had potential

the plot itself is really interesting and even reminded me a lot of black mirror. the ai futuristic movies always catch my attention, especially since detroit become human is one of my favourite games and some aspects of the movie reminded me of that too…however,,

the movie had a terrible way of showing and unraveling its plot. half of the time i had no idea what was going on. and in the end the things i was curious about never really got answered?

the plot was confusing, the rules were confusing, gong yoo’s character going between reality and ai world was confusing (how was he the only one to be able to do that?) the plot with the grandma and grandson being left in the dust(really what was the point in their storyline?), and after the mother crashed the entire companys network…what did that even do? why did no one react to it?, and why was gong yoo’s character so curious and obsessed particularly by the mother?everything in the movie felt like it was added there just to fill the 2 hour mark. most of the stuff made no sense and were super vague and it felt so unsatisfying at the end?

i’ve gotten invested halfway through because like i said before its got a really good plot potential but it just seemed to be wasted…it tried to have interstellar vibes (imo) but it was just….so bad.

so many great actors in the movie made me think it wouldn’t be so bad…but i guess not.

the acting itself wasn’t bad but just…the entire movie and the plot…agh its so frustrating. definitely could’ve been done better!

Choi Wooshik slays as a killer

Okay so I’ve really got no complaints over this kdrama, i really enjoyed it!

Especially now in 2024, it feels like every kdrama that has released this year or in 2023, was a little boring so my standards have lowered, I’ve been waiting for a show that has the same vibe as My name Kdrama for example, since thats genuinely one of the best shows I’ve watched.

And though I can’t really compare this show to My name, they have nothing in common except for the crime aspect of it, but its been hard to enjoy anything and this was a perfect kdrama for a quick watch.

But, while there is nothing for me to complain about, there is only one thing that I found a little stupid and its that it felt like the plot got a little lost as it progressed. I thought it would turn out like Vigilante maybe, since this story did focus on Lee Tang (Choi Wooshik), but after like maybe episode 5-6(?), Lee Tang was barely a main character and they focused on the other antagonist and the detectives backstory. Which wasn’t bad per se but I did want to see more of Lee Tang and his entire arc about getting goosebumps when he meets a bad person shouldve been more shown because i found that the most interesting. Everything else just kind of felt like it came out of nowhere, like why do we all of a sudden care about the detectives past and the villain? And why did they need an entire episode to themselves? I feel like it couldve easily been revealed sooner and shorter and the rest filled with Lee Tangs journey.

Overall, I didn’t really get what the last few
moments of the episode meant but i’m guessing they’re setting up for a second season. If the show ends up getting another season, i WILL be seated. Still, such a great show!!

MUST WATCH!

I wasn’t expecting much from this show but holy shit it did not disappoint!

Each episode was filled with something new and interesting, the plotwists they would end each episode with made you want to continue immediately!

I’m in awe and i’m so sad that it only had 7 episodes.

I wasn’t rooting for anyone in the show until Mimo came. I’m so glad they connected a mother daughter relationship into the plot, it mended so well with the flow. Shows how strong mothers love can truly be.

I cannot feel angry at any of the characters in there, the grandma who hunted down Mimo was also a mother who was filled with grief and pain, Momi was no different. She wanted to protect her daughter just like she said in the car when she was fleeing.

Momi’s mother sacrificing herself in the end was so heart wrenching as well. She was painted as a heartless monster who didn’t care but a mother’s instinct and love can never truly go away.

I cried in the end, i’m really happy Mimo had her best friend with her in the end. And if the show ever did a sequel I would definitely watch!

I also wonder what happened to the daughter who needed that kidney donated…Hm!

Overall, amazing show! Great acting from everyone and great pacing. Must watch and it’s quick watch as well! 10/10!!

It will ruin your day

But in a good way. This movie is so well done but it’ll TUG on your heartstrings. Nowadays zombie movies are always copy pastes from each other, and though you can’t do many different things with this genre, this movie totally does it. You get attached to the people there and at some point you really start fearing if your favourite character will die (they probably will here ..) it’s heartbreaking, especially the ending. I’ve been told to watch this movie since forever and always pushed it behind, today I watched it and it kept my attention as well as my emotions. Amazing casting, great acting and overall an amazing plot of the movie. So much action and suspense, I loved it. You won’t regret watching this!!

not good but not bad

name a bigger cliche lmao

of course the lady whos not like other girls makes the cold brooding CEO fall in love with her by being silly and goofy..
okay im not a hater but the way people hyped this up i was really expecting the best kdrama ever.
in my opinion i think the side couple did it better and their story was much more interesting and different. i wished they were the main couple honestly..
the characters did have a lot of chemistry i do admit but at some point it just felt very boring and you lose interest pretty fast.

ehhh

after trying to watch the chinese version (and failing because lord have mercy its painful), i switched to this one and its actually much better in my opinion. although i did have some trouble going through some episodes because it would get boring and repetitive, but i still managed to get through and it wasn't even that bad. it isnt the best but its watchable...i guess im not really a big fan of when people cant take a no for an answer and just keep forcing themselves to the person. its noy my cup of tea but it had its cute moments.

Bruh

This is just one big BRUH moment. I honestly felt zero connection with most of the characters except for the lesbian side couple. They were the only reason I kept watching this boring ass kdrama. This was just the most frustrating watch ever, especially since this story follows a girl whos head over heels over a guy whos CLEARLY an asshole and no he will not change lol, im still pissed they made her end up with him when he showed 0 signs of development and actually changing as a person. All he did was apologise a bit and that was it for her...
Potato boy deserved better!! And that ending scene where she longingly looked at him through the window makes me think she might've regretted her choice in the end, which is both satisfiying and also frustrating at the same time.

ALSO I was really looking forward to seeing the GL side couple share a lil cute kiss or a lil more scenes atleast but I'll take what I can get.

SATISFYING REVENGE KDRAMA

Especially in season 2...wow, watching the bad guys get what they deserve is just..MWAH!! I am a bit confused about the ending, like why were they walking inside a prison?? Or maybe I was distracted and didn't see the full clip lol...but yeah besides that I have literally zero complaints. Just such a great kdrama and amazing acting from every actor in the show. On a side note some scenes are gory and very rough but i swear its worth getting through the episodes to see the bad guys get their ass beaten!!

I NEED MORE OF THIS SHOW

I got this show recommended by a friend and the moment she told its got only 6 episodes i knew it was gonna be bomb. AND IT WAS!

Listen 6 episodes are easy to fuck up too, its not like this show is one of a kind never done before but it was such a good build up and i liked almost every character in there!!! I was so invested and it was only episode 1. The arc the build up the plotwists, theres really nothing to complain about honestly. The only complaint I have is that 6 episodes is too short for such a good concept of a kdrama.

The detectives and their back stories and the fucked up family, it was all just so good. Such a good and quick watch although I was dreading the ending because of how immersed I got into this story.

Also I really wish they showed the siblings get along but I guess its a too far fetched of a wish…the plotwist in the end shocked and disgusted me, I had all sorts of theories under my belt but it never would’ve been that…Oh well. Good shock value.

I recommend this a lot!! Amazing actors and acting, such a good quick show.

COMFORT KDRAMA!!

Oh goddd where do i begin with this one?
I finished this kdrama a long time ago, maybe in 2020 and i’m rewatching it with a friend of mine right now. It’s one of the most comforting, feel good, a slice of life kdramas. I really recommend it! Of course it’s not going to be everyones cup of tea but this was such a silly and cute show, every character was likeable (except for the ex until the end) and well built and had good chemistry with each other. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend for anyone who enjoys silly kdramas like this to watch it!!

a MUST watch

i started this kdrama a couple of hours ago and i finished it all in one sitting. its very rare nowadays for a kdrama to catch my attention like this, but jesus christ this was one of the most interesting eye catching kdramas ever. not one episode was boring and each cliffhanger ending made me want more. such a difficult watch because of how the violence and sometimes you get frustrated watching it— but it’s just something you can’t keep your eyes off. acting was phenomenal especially from the actor of sieun, the performance when he finally brokedown and yelled in school before punching the window in the corridor struck my heart with pain. everytime he would express sadness i would feel it with him…just amazing casting. on a side note: what i felt was unnecessary was youngyi’s sudden involvement into their friendship? perhaps thats why i was on beomseoks side for a while even though at some point i just stopped defending him and slowly started to dislike him, i still feel zero connection with youngyi…her character feels so unnecessary if we don’t look at beomseoks jealousy. but i guess she was only needed for stirring stuff up with beomseok for the sake of the plot but still it just felt so random that they befriended her…overall such a great show. sieun and sooho have the best chemistry out of everyone in the show. you can just tell they care for each other a lot…love those two the most<3

Cool concept at first, got a bit boring in the end

I started this show after finding out its plot from TikTok, it seemed to be interesting and a really cool never done before plot before.
I mean you don’t often get kdramas based in Heaven lol

It was pretty entertaining in the beginning and I looked forward to new episodes until somewhere around ep8/9 things just started to be a bit repetitive and boring.

The flashbacks they would give about the characters’ lore was so confusing and all over the place and it just seemed to create misunderstandings more than answers.

And it felt like they sorta left some plotholes here and there but they weren’t so big for me to nitpick about, but overall it wasn’t that hard of a watch even though I sorta forced myself to finish the last ep 😭

It was cute and good enough…still can’t lie it got boring towards the end.

Good cast, good show

i watched this with my friend so my review of this show might seem a bit biased since i enjoyed it very much. maybe because i was with my friend watching it or maybe because the show was really enjoyable to watch.

regardless i do remember starting the show and immediately getting hooked on it. every character that was introduced was fun, interesting and had a good plotline.

the only character i didn’t really like was sijun because he was the biggest debby downer of the show and he remained that way till the end. no character development seemed to have happened with him except for the ex plot. which also seemed a bit icky in my opinion but they did show a very realistic part of life.

i genuinely thought they would get back together but as much as i lowkey rooted for them in the end, im glad they didn’t end up together. it was realistic and both of them didn’t fit each other anymore. it made sense.

now onto the main characters, i really have no complaints there. the pairing seemed so random (actors wise), i only saw wooshik in one romcom kdrama which was our beloved summer and i throughly enjoyed that , but this was amazing too. wooshiks comedy timing is incredible and he never failed to land a joke.

boyoung is amazing as always of course, she’s the queen of romcom shows ! i loved her performance. she does ‘empty’ type characters so well, well enough to keep you interested and to not just see them as a boring character whose personality was only being nonchalant all the time.

it was a lovely show that showed both grievance and acceptance of our loved ones passing away. the show handles it with humor and melancholy, both balanced just enough.

i really enjoyed this show. it was funny, romantic, sad and it showed real things from real life. actors were amazing, and that one scene between the main characters where they were in the middle of the street during a sunset, what a beautiful scene…i still remember it. the colours, the background, the kiss. everything was beautiful.

not much to complain about. its worth the check out.

Cute, funny, romantic, and a lot of k-drama references

Honestly when the show ended I was a bit disappointed because it felt like it ended in the middle of an episode. You know how at the end of a show they show everyone’s endings and wrap it up so you could assume what happens next with the characters, but everything felt so open ended? I don’t know if that was the intention but it didn’t feel like it was. I genuinely watched the last ep fully convinced there was gonna be an ep 13 and 14 cause I was curious about the second leads and main leads future. Oh well. I guess this shows that the show was good since it kept me interested and invested in everyone’s plotlines.

The story itself was new, I never really saw a concept like this where I wouldn’t find the trope weird. (When they somehow involve the ‘sibling’ title to love interests) I really hoped they wouldn’t make it look morally wrong by making the ML consider the FL’s mother like his. And although he did, they atleast kept it distant from the FL so the couple never considered each other siblings (unlike Her Private Life trope..).

Overall, I would say my favourite part of the show was the second couple(CEO and Writer), I swear they were the reason I wanted to continue watching. They were so cute albeit their scenes would sometimes look awkward, but I sweaaarrr their trope is so adorable!!And I didn’t expect them AT ALL!!Which is why they intrigued me the most.

The third lead couple wasn’t really my cup of tea but I did root for them. They’re one of the main reasons I wanted atleast 2 more eps so I could see how their story pans out.

Overall I loved most of the characters there. I didn’t like the ending much but it’s worth watching.

perfect movie

man where do i begin…
first off, i started this movie because i kept seeing edits of it all over tiktok (yeah my source is tiktok unfortunately 😞) but doesn’t matter because either way i’m grateful i got introduced to this banger of a movie.

the beginning of the movie was lowkey insane and confusing, me and my friend watched it together and we kept having theories of what was going to happen and what was happening throughout it, it was really fun to try and guess how predictable it is.

regardless of its predictability, theres a whole other side to the movie in which you will NOT be able to predict…like…at all…😭 the movie takes the craziest turns and then mellows it out by giving us a sweet coupley scene and then something crazy happens again- the thing is, i would’ve thought this whole movie is just a big nothing burger if it wasn’t funny- but the movie is HILARIOUS!!! 😭 like genuinely, i don’t think i’ve ever laughed this much at a korean movie. their humor back in the day was truly unmatched.

although this movie was like, 2hours, swear it did not feel like it was that long at all. it went by so fast and after it ended it made you feel that strange empty feeling. that feeling that gets you like “oh man, i wish this didn’t have to end.” that type of feeling.

this movie also doesn’t have any kissing scenes or anything of that nature which honestly surprised me since it kept going in the most provocative direction in the beginning (and honestly throughout the movie too) , the entire thing was so adorable and incredibly done. the plotwist in the end had left both me and my friend in shock and excitement- although it gets you a bit frustrated by the time the couple clearly fall for each other, the story has a very beautiful ending that makes the entire movie come together in a beautiful way.

the chemistry between the actors was also a thing to note, so beautiful, till this day i have no idea how actors don’t fall for each other when they have these type of roles lol

overall, the movie is great! comedy, romance and entertainment- you have it all packaged right there. the only reason i didn’t give it a ten is because some parts of the movie were a lil too weird for me (and somehow brushed away lol, like the constant motel scenes and the ML’s lowkey pervvy thoughts throughout the movie although im glad they didnt make it into a huge part of his personality) and the movie was honestly super confusing at times that i genuinely had trouble figuring stuff out , the cut scenes were sometimes a bit sudden and would leave you confused but i guess that was the movies whole point since its very uhhhh,,, well, you just gotta watch the movie to get it!

nonetheless, i won’t act too nitpicky, the movie was really good and thats all you need to know- the nitpicks i pointed out are just some things that bothered *me* personally but overall its really good and i enjoyed it very much. i was invested the entire time and loved both of the characters despite them both being crazy lol.

super great movie! and if you love old-esque looking movies + korean movies then you’re especially going to enjoy this! (lil tip, you can watch this entire movie on youtube…thats what me and my friend did lol…enjoyyy)
