Finally, we got a drama that shows some sweet moments between the leads, instead of just one episode and then…
Right?!!! Each episode with them just being together and acting like old-time spouses make me think, "this is definitely how they're gonna be like after they're married and are living their lives after the ending." It's giving us ease that they'll be okay after all the drama, and we know it'll be that, no other possibilities. Unlike the usual stories where everything could still happen between the leads after the "ending".
The cracked me up! Thank goodness it wasn’t the usually jealousy and unruly characters we’re used too!
Exactly! When I was just reading about this drama, I've been seeing comments about some people liking Loulan. And when Furong and Loulan started appearing and bein mean to ShenLi, I kept on wondering why nobody ever talked about how annoying they were. Turned out, they're good characters. I'm so thankful to the writer for not giving me high blood pressure caused by annoying characters. 🤣
I'm so sorry, I know this was already asked multiple times but I'm new in this thread. Can anyone tell me the latest showing schedule? I know since last year WeTV and iQiyi have been making it a habit to change their schedules literally everyday for their successful dramas. So I don't wanna believe the scheds in the WeTV app
ABOUT TWO THING.....ONEI never been Zhao Li Ying fan or I ever liked her acting. She worked two of most well made…
me, too! I just watched this in passing but I didn't imagine I'll like it. And so far, LOVING EVERYTHING about it! The plot and conflicts were really well-made. I think it helped a lot that the script writer was also the novel author. Drama adaptations so start doing so!
He uses them in the end, when they are together.1. Pick grapes with him every summer forever2. have as many children…
Is that gonna be the ending? I'm so happy, I'm crying tears of joy. I binged until episode 28 today so I cried a lot when she "died" and they parted. So knowing they'll have a happy ending eased my heart.
I just wanna say that I thought I was gonna hate Furong and Loulan until the end but I'm loving them now. I was so used to hating jealous and unruly characters in other dramas but they've redeemed themselves real well.
Don't we also love a God that's actually super powerful? I think you're gonna love XZ from ep 24
yeah. and usually, they'll just say "I can't fall inlove bec of my heavy responsibilities". But XZ's reason is very extreme. I was imagining myself as SL and not wanting him to fall for me AT ALL COST. But I'd also be torn with loving him unconsciously. Like, I'm just a viewer but I already love him. how much more would it be if he's real.
I just wanna say, amongst all the xianxia I've watched where one character can't be swayed by his own feelings and fall in love, Xinzhi's reason is the heaviest and most believable so far. I felt the gravity of his responsibility to the world. Such an AMAZING backstory!!! I'm already in ep21 but I'm still hooked.
Change the poster. I love the Kdrama but I would’ve not tried it due to the poster.
I agree. I was skipping it when looking for a new drama to watch. I only started watching it because of a clip I casually saw online. This type of poster shouts "childish cliché drama, not for serious watching". LoLz
I'm just in episode 6 but the chemistry of all the boys in the drama, especially the father and son is SUPERB! Like they've been best of friends for years already. i'm loving it so far.
You probably don't know but all these elements used here are also part of Japanese culture also it's not China…
Ohhh... That's good to know. I was trying to look for articles connecting it with other cultural influences aside frkm Korean but failed to find any. Thanks for the input.
I'm halfway through this series now and I have 2 things to say: 1. The production seemed like a CDrama, which isn't particularly good nor bad. I'm a CDrama fan and this one feels like Chinese influence was involved in the making of this drama. 2. I'm most invested with Maid Kim, Park Jin and Master Lee's love story development right now!!! 😍
Hopefully this can sustain my interest until the end.
Everything would have been perfect had it not been ruined by the bad and rushed editing of episodes 11 and 12. Especially episode 12! Such a shame that the editor started falling asleep on the most important and highly anticipated episodes! But I still loved it. This is the romance story that did not need too much cringey romantic scenes. Their chemistry alone was more than enough.
Indeed, Chief Gwi is my new favorite ML character. Their relationship is the type of romance without the unnecessary romantic scenes and cringe, just the feels. I don't think I'd get over him soon. I need more of his side of the story!!!
The only thing I liked about it is the very visually pleasing characters. But the ending is a capital WTF! I got triggered by the ending. My partner was cursing her the entire series. And mind you, he never ever cuss, but this one was amazingly bad he needed to let it out. 🤦♀️
I've been looking for the novel but can't find any version translated in English, not even an synopsis. Can anyone please give us an idea on what the story will be about? Is it heavy drama?
