I know some people dislike it and I understand why, but I'm really liking the fast pace. Based on ep9's preview, thats roughly around chapter 100 of the novel. I know we could have more detail/character building and the fast pace takes away from that, I understand that, but the fast pace means we'll get to the real juicy stuff soon and I'm hoping it mean's they'll get together soonish/at a decent time in the drama, so we can have more romance between them (as I'm really liking their chemistry) and more scenes of them working together and scheming as a pair. Also, I believe we will get more character building in the form of flashbacks.

One thing I loved is that in ep 4 on China's Valentine's Day in the drama he found out she was a woman. So he already knows so they don't draw it out for ages.

Yeh a bit weird for sure was expecting a longer air schedule, but I'm guessing drama will end roughly around the 22nd, maybe a day or two earlier or later (I count express package as the ending). This is based on prisoner of beauty being 36 episodes on Tencent and ending in 16 days. So I think this will be the same roughly 16 days.

I agree 100%, really refreshing I was expecting it to last quite a while before he found out. Actually pretty logical also, riding a horse that close with her leaning on him, makes sense and glad they got it out of the way early

Personally, I really, really like how he found it she was a woman so quick. Makes things easier for the future, no messing around where he thinks he's falling in love with a man or anything and is super awkward around her or anything like that trope. And ngl the romance hits hard, thought it would take a while before we saw any hints of romance, but that lantern scene was really nice
