As for the romance, ML and FL get an imperial decree from the emperor to marry. At that point he still doesn't know she was He ru fi in her past life, but it's clear they like each other, she confesses she likes the moon and he is her moon, and he returns the confession. Eventually, she confesses to him her real identity, he says sorry for not recognizing her, and they get married. No break up or anything like that. Eventually, in the epilogue they have a kid together, happy married. Wu Zhao is interested but she had no idea he likes her till he confessed, asking her not to marry ml, she rejects him pretty clearly, saying she only loves ML. He moves on, he's not like an aggressive 2ml.

Oh yeah that I assume its when the FL left the place of the guy that saved her, on her way to join the army. He said he was returning from Que city, if you remember in ep2 I think it was when he reported to Minister Xu his master about what happened in Que city, about how the ML got it back by flooding. So FL must have been on her way to join the army and ML coming back from seeing what happened in que city.

It's because Cheng Li Su's character was originally played by a different actor. However, he got in legal trouble and got arrested and all that, so his scenes were replaced with face swapping and green screen with the new current actor. However, a lot of his scenes were also cut out, making shorter episodes. That along with passing regulation dropping the episode count from 40-36, meant a lot of scenes were cut. Definitely a bit annoying, the episodes go by so fast.

There is more to the plot later about succeeding the throne to become emperor, the crown prince is involved, about He Yan's brother and getting revenge and also about war with the wutao people. But more of that come out later. Idk how much from the novel and I don't want to spoil too much for you unless you want it, but there's more to come that involves war and palace politics.

Chu Zhao does like her, but He Yan doesn't realizes and Chu Zhao doesn't like become obsessed with her or anything. He confesses once, is rejected and moves on. So in there novel he likes her but ML and FL only have eyes for each other and he's not that aggressive, so the triangle is barely a triangle. Chu Zhao does try to plot against Xiao Jue a few times but thats not all because of He Yan, also for his own agenda.

Oh nice, might check that out. And yeh he plays it well, not knowing whose side he's really on. You can tell he's not fully with Minister Xu.

I haven't seen the actor who plays Chu Ziao in much but he nails the character here so far. Gives off the right vibe, can't tell what he's thinking, can't tell if he's trustworthy or not and he's like a chameleon, just blends in to whatever situation he's in. Nice job by the actor tbh.
