Not gonna lie, in the novel he is pretty jealous, he gets jealous super easy and makes FL coax him. He never gets jealous for a long time, but does get pretty jealous until FL makes him feel better. So we might see a jealous side of him in the drama, just a heads up.

In the novel CZ is not good but not bad, he's a gray character, that is just trying to achieve his own goals. Not fully loyal to anyone really, but not a big villain.

No problem

A couple things, we see in flashbacks they had interactions in the academy, but they weren't particularly close. Seems ML had a soft spot for FL, but mostly they just passed by each other, weren't like best friends. More Ml's father thought highly of FL and thought together they would protect their country in the future. After the academy, they had not met for a few years, until the first scene of ep 1 where ML's father dies. Before that, for a few years since the academy, they had been in separate armies. The scene where ML is being punished by the emperor and fake He Ru Fei shows up, he mentions its been a few years since they last saw each other (not counting when ML's father died). So since they had not seen each other for years, its believable he would not recognize the fake He Ru Fei, as he could have attributed her change in height and all that, to the years they separated.

Honestly, there are some logical flaws here and there, and gaps in the story. Something you have to look past if you can, I find the show really enjoyable so far, so I'm fine moving past those. If thats not for you though, thats ok.

Additionally, a few episodes may seem choppy as a lot of scenes were cut due to the 3ml Cheng Li Su, being replaced due to the previous actor getting arrested and blacklisted. So many of his scenes were cut, while others were replaced with face swapping and green screen tech. Thats why the first 7 episodes only run about 30-35 minutes, but episodes 8 and 9 went for 45 mins. I think overall, episodes 8 and 9 were the best yet, maybe watch till then and see what you think. Again, I find the show really enjoyable and I quite like it so far, but it's not for everybody, and if it's not for you thats ok. Just thought I would give you some context for what you have seen so far.

Yeh I would prefer if she told him earlier, then they can work together fully, without a barrier between them. Plus, always better to get it out earlier and clear misunderstandings. Thats one of the things I really liked about coroner's diary, her identity was shared early, and then they could cooperate fully after that with no secrets.

Chapter 215 I think, or around then. For reference, ep 9 is around chapter 100 of the novel.

I think ep 8 and 9 moved the plot along quite well, paced picked up a bit more action. As for her real identity it may take a while. For reference ep 9 is roughly chapter 100 in the novel, she reveals her real identity at around chapter 215 I think, so if we keep the same pace she will reveal her real identity around ep around ep 18-22. But I'm hoping they bring it forward, would love for it to be earlier. But we'll see.

Honestly if we being real, probs Xiao Jue's ideal women. A woman that just ruthlessly killed someone, with blood on her face, but yet she always smiles at the sight of him. A general like her is a perfect match for a general like him.

Hahahah ikr when she turns around and goes "commander" with a big smile, mean while she's got like blood on her face

Btw anyone complaining about FL's bubbly demeanor just has to watch the fight in ep 9 and how she shows absolutely no mercy and is like a stone cold killer general, to realize, there's two sides to her coin. One side she shows to those she trusts and can let loose around, and the other to her enemies. Love the duality in her personality. I said this before but her no mercy personality is so badass.

No problem and yep there is a love triangle, but it's pretty complex and kind of makes sense/is necessary if you watch it. But if love triangles aren't your thing all good either way some of the others I suggested don't have any or just really minor ones that don't really matter.

Not sure what you've already watched but imo some classics are The double is really good if you haven't seen it, Story of kunning palace is really really good, One and only (although its super traumatic is really good), I enjoyed the Rise of Ning, Coroner's diary which just recently ended is really good, imperial coroner is a hidden gem, obviously blossom which was the dark horse hit of last year, a journey to love is one of my favs. Idk which of these you haven't seen, maybe you've seen all of them as they're pretty popular and well known 😂. But all have a really strong female lead, just off the top of my head, there's many more.

So glad to the rating is going up, I think its deserved. Episode 8 and 9 were great, the action and fighting scenes were top notch, and the chemistry between ml and fl were sizzling, especially the bath scene 😍. Both fight scene's choreo were great, and the absolutely no mercy approach from FL was perfect and so in character, really happy she showed no mercy.

Hahaha so true, like we gonna ignore when FL literally defeats all these guy in training camp, using the bow, the spear and during the capture the flag with a whip, she's the most badass character in the whole show 😂

Yeh idk why but the express episodes for example ep 9 today, comes out 12 hours later on kisskh, so it comes out in between when episodes are released for some reason so weird
