Yeh I think it was confirmed yesterday/today, they made a lot of changes, all focused on promoting longer cdramas. I saw a few sources posting a list of changes made by the NRTA in a Chinese document, all seems pretty official. Its a pity came after this drama, and not sure how it will effect cdramas like mo li which is currently filming and would probs be better with more episodes, but at least we know the change has been made for the future.

Honestly haven't read it, moonlit reunion and mo li are the only upcoming ones I have read, but hearing about it so much recently might have to read it.

Yeh still in progress, they announced they would collab with iqiyi and Youku (idk about Tencent) to implement policies such as only leaving reviews after the user is verified to have watched 50% if the show. But these were all announced as changes that were coming, not that had already been implemented I think. So still work in progress.

Some unrelated info for everyone interested quickly, the NRTA in china, which makes laws around tv etc, has recently abolished the law limiting dramas to 40 episodes, as well as some other changes to promote longer dramas. Which means soon we could be getting old school longer dramas, and more faithful adaptation as we get more episodes to fit everything in! Big changes incoming.

Some of these comments are baffling, she cooks once, for like 5 minutes in a single episode out of 22 episodes so far. And people in the comments replying to you right now acting like all she's doing is cooking the whole time. And sewing is part of the greater romance plot yet to come. Relax, all in all probs take up to 10 minutes of a single episodes out of the 22 episodes.

Yeh exactly, drama wise, as far we know, it's her first time ever liking/loving someone romantically , and she wants to show that affection, that emotion. And her making food is one she is able to show that affection.

I just don't see her stealing it in this, because he already knows her identity, since they flipped compared to the novel I feel like she wouldn't. But you are right she might out of necessity, but I hope not. Would prefer an early reconciliation, and I think returning her sword would be a nice moment.

I do agree, she's been literally fighting and killing and kicking ass the whole time, but one single episode of cooking and sewing makes people upset.

Oh possibly yeh, that would be nice. The only thing is in the preview for ep 25, she's using the sword XJ took back, Qinglang. So either she stole it (which I doubt, don't feel like it's her character to steal it), or he gave it back. I feel like maybe he gave it back before, so they reconciled before Rundu maybe? But I could so see what you think is gonna happen, happening.

Worth noting, that if you're unhappy with the cooking scene, fair enough, everyone has their own opinions. Personally, it was minor scene to show her affection, I quite liked it, was her first obvious display at showing her feelings. For me it symbolized her first time maybe ever in her life, trying /learning how to show affection for someone openly. But I understand if people didn't like it. However, the sewing and pouch scene is actually an important scene and will come up again in ep 26. It's important in their romance, and realizing their feelings for each other, and was an important milestone in their relationship in the novel. Everyone has their own opinions and thats ok.
