I agree with you, and most Cdramas have this same problem. This one, surprisingly, is a bit better. I've seen…
Definitely, government censorship really hurts the creativity cdramas can have, especially when adapting novels. Its unfortunate. One of the reasons we see a lot of similar storylines over and over.

If you look under the discussion area, I started a discussion about the same thing. Being reborn into a different body is banned under regulations, and there are also interesting discussions about gay storylines in the same discussion thread if interested.

In the novel, she sews a picture of a moon secretly on the inside. Thats how XJ realizes, he is her moon and she likes him.

Yeh she was, he was left out of the drama. He was a horrible person. Worked with her brother to kill her, and then married her younger sister. He appeared like a nice gentleman, and had a good reputation. FL was arranged to marry him after her brother returned. However, in truth he was greedy and cruel. He manipulated one of his concubines to drown FL, and then killed that concubine to cover his tracks. Eventually, when He Ru Fei was exposed, so was he, and he was ordered to be executed.

Honestly, I don't think the misunderstand/quarrel will go on for nearly as long as some people think. Maybe it's just what I'm hoping for, but based on the emoji's/hints in the air schedule, ep 26 will have the pouch scene, so I would assume they make up before that. Honestly, I think ML will be shocked at first, but cool down quickly and apologize, similar to the novel. So far he really hasn't been shown as the overly emotional type, would be out of character for him to get super emotional. I don't think it will last too long, honestly think it will resolve in the same ep, maybe the ep after but thats just my hope. We'll wait and see! Plus, I really hope we see the badass FL in the Rundu arc.

I think its only one or two eps, based on the pictures/hints of the air schedule, the scene where He Yan gives Xj the pouch which she put on a moon on, in in episode 26.

Title Moonlit Reunion Spoiler
Does anyone know if the ML will have a male subordinate and who that would be
He kind of has a subordinate, in the story around half way through, his junior brother disciple from the taoist temple he trained at helps him, kind of like a subordinate. Due to his strength he's seen as a senior brother/uncle by disciples in the dao sect he was trained at, one of which helps hims out/follows him around and listens to him. All based on the novel though. His name is Shuang Jiang, can see him on the cast list so I assume he's in it. This only happens around half way through the novel though, so at the beginning no subordinate.

Did they not talk with each other for long in the novel? How did they make up after the lovers quarrel? Lol hahah
In the novel, literally no quarrel. She tells him who she is, he actually apologizes, says sorry for not realizing sooner and they continue their relationship no quarrel. However, in the novel, they were already in a relationship then, he found out the whole truth after they were together.

Probably a few changes but a lot of the same. In the book he died while holding the bracelet the princess wanted to buy to show their love. Since we just saw the same flashbacks of the bracelet, I'm guessing that will be the same. He died willingly though, he left to fight like thousands of enemies by himself without telling anyone, set up a formation and died while taking a lot down with him.

Essentially, her brother is a coward and not as skilled, he doesn't want to risk loosing and putting himself in danger. And yeh in the novel, they fight each other in a sparring match infront of the emperor and people from wutao as part of a celebration/peace talks. She beats him, even when he tried to use a poison sword. Was meant to be a friendly duel but he was pretty much trying to kill her but she still beat him. This is just before, He yan and Xiao Jue expose him for being a fake, along with his family and prime minster xu, with a bunch of others crimes getting them all arrested.

Yeh it's one of the main fights and her first confrontation against He Ru Fei really. Rundu is under attack, her brother as general won't reinforce it like he should (everyone expects him to but don't realize he's not the same general). She sneaks away from camp against ML's orders and fights there herself with some friends, leading soldiers against the enemy. She pretty much saves the people. It's like the first war where we see her as a leader, and without the ML. Also where she first starts making achievements and making her name.
