The chants were so funny. I would love to know who the screenwriter is but I did love the double, something I appreciated was for the most part he kept the charcters true to themselves, he rarely made them act our of character. Hopefully stays the same here, and yeh feels like it has to have a happy ending, as long as it doesn't pull another demon hunters romance.
True, there were a lot of funny scenes, especially when she became a child and when they swapped bodies. I hope they keep some of that in and yeh probs sadistic scenes but probably won't be her.
Tamed is a good word for the novel, it was just a pretty low angst novel, more a slice of life and romance story than an action demon fighting type of story. I understand for a drama they often have to increase the action or angst, and I'm ok with that, I just hope they keep the core relationships the same, and leave the angst and drama to the fighting demons part of the story rather then the relationship part of the story. But you're right linmon knows what they're doing.
I pray this lives up to the hype. I know it looks like a lot has changed from the novel and thats too be expected, I just hope they keep the core personalities and characteristics of the characters the same, and would be nice if we get an early wedding like in the novel. Pretty rare for historical cdramas to have the ML and FL married early and stay married throughout with no problems. Honestly, the book is more of like a story of their day to day life fighting and protecting both humans and demons, while also just showing the interacting with friends, spending time together etc, hope we get a similar vibe.
If you like txw here I would recommend new life begins, its a really nice drama of hers, was super, super popular when released. However, it does lean more into comedy/romance/slice of life, not really action heavy, not sure if you're into that type of drama. It's a low angst, comedy romance drama.
I get where you're coming from, but I also feel she's done a lot for him. Learning to cook and sew just for him,…
I think it does count as a confession because this is a spoiler, but later we find out she actually sewed a picture of the moon inside the pouch she gave him. Thats how he finds out he's her moon, so he connects her earlier confession of her liking the moon to him. But again, we can disagree, thats fine everyone views it differently. Also she's does a lot of little things like buying him sweets/giving to make him feel better, because she once gave them to him so she assumes he likes them. Also its fair to say he fell first, she's only realized her feelings more recently, but since her talk with her master and princess jiyang she was proactive in learning t cook, sew and make the pouch. But again, its fine if you feel its unbalanced, its subjective after all.
I hope I will not anger people here... but I feel he loves her a lot more than she loves him. I mean, look at…
I get where you're coming from, but I also feel she's done a lot for him. Learning to cook and sew just for him, making the pouch for him (we'll see it also has a hidden meaning later), she was the first one to confess also technically when's she said she loves the moon but the moon doesn't know, telling him she wants him to remember her on the boat. I feel it's been well balanced. But everyone has their own opinion, that fine.
I think im behind the news. I mean, I know about the scandal and him getting the AI treatment, but how does not…
I was talking about the show as a whole just being without him. You'll notice that the longer episodes are the ones where he isn't actually in the story/doesn't have much screen time as he's not part of the plot. So it was a hypothetical, say to begin with he was never in the story at all, would people have preferred this if it meant longer episodes. Probs a bit confusing could have worded the original comment better 😂
Genuinely curious, what do people prefer, Cheng li su as a character and 35 min episodes or 45 min episodes and absolutely no Cheng li su? Personally, nothing against the actor or his character he does a good job, but for more ML and FL goodness, I would choose 45 min episodes, no Cheng Li Su. No hate to Li Qing just curious what people think.
Someone told me that in drama CZ will stop HY and XZ wedding 😭😭😭😭This man needs to go away
What happened in the script was, the emperor wanted either XJ or HY to give up their military power to get married (cause CZ was in the emperor's ear telling him two general's could not get married), XJ rejected this idea. So the emperor granted a marriage between CZ and HY, as CZ asked for one before. HY as soon as she found out about the marriage went to the emperor and told him I would rather never marry then get married to CZ, the emperor granted this and stopped the marriage. XJ was upset at first about everything that happened but soon went to HY and they both agreed they would only marry each other, and if they can't marry each other they would never marry. So for a little bit they were still technically together as they loved each other, but had no chance of being married. However, right at the end, after the final invasion war, he grants a marriage between them both. This is just the leaked script though things may change. This all happened in ep 34-36 so right at the end really. Also, after rejecting the marriage with CZ, HY really puts him in his place and even draws her sword on him, like finally, I hope this gets kept in.
what conversation? he reveals He rufei & He yan's identity to the Emperor ? that's why we're gonna see that…
It's not shown what conversation specifically, but he likely told the emperor his suspicion about He Ru Fei delaying reinforcements, showing him the pattern of it happening twice, there fore if it happened again he would look really guilty. Also in the novel, he told the emperor ahead of time that He Yan was a woman, not sure if it happened in the drama though, we'll see. He doesn't tell him about He Yan and He Ru Fei swapping identities until its time to expose him.
so you guys mean that she became a general, but just a title, and no power unlike Xiao Jue having soldiers under…
Yeh if you remember in ep 1, XJ he was a general that also had the right to conscript people into the army, his family lost that right after his father died but he got it back regaining the city. So thats true power, where as her's is just a title. She's not able to conscript people under her and was not given an army or anything like that.
I love the fact that the cold war Between Xiao jue & He yan didn’t last longer like some typical cdrama…
100% agree, Xiao Jue was emotional finding out the truth (fair enough I believe, anyone would be) but he quickly calmed down and figured out his thoughts and then extended an olive branch by giving her medicine.
