I agree 100% so many people saying this is not how a general would/should act, like what are you basing that off? Have you met a lot of Chinese generals? It’s just your own belief of how He Yan should be, but maybe the writers, directors etc have a different idea. There’s many historical accounts of famous Chinese generals that were not domineering or psychically imposing, instead they used strategy, deception and psychological warfare to win battles. All of which fl has shown, such as her making a map and getting the flags not though direct confrontation but strategy and deception just like many famous generals. Never mind her also kicking the ass of every single so called domineering male she has fought.

Damn Zhou Ye was badass in ep 12 again, honestly the fight choreo and execution has been really well done throughout. I love when He Yan shows her badass side, and honestly the small detail of her using the handle of her whip to fight is such an underrated and smart detail. Overall the choreo of all the fights has been really nice, easy to follow but fun and entertaining to watch, and Zhou ye and Cheng Lei have executed so well (mostly Zhou Ye till now tbh, need more Cheng Lei fights!). Also why was that hug is ep 13 so romantic even though I don't know if it was meant to be, the tension was so there, great chemistry.

Also gotta remember this is being broadcast across a bunch of different platforms, where as glory and prisoner of beauty were just on Tencent. So it'll be harder for this to hit 30k but fingers crossed, it deserves it!

8.7 lets go, just keeps getting better and better imo, episode 8-13 especially been so good, not that the beginning wasn't good btw, was really good but just keeps getting better.

I gotta say I really like the previews being 4 episodes ahead, instead of the normal next two episode preview. I think it creates a lot more anticipation and makes me look forward to what comes next a lot more and keeps the show on my mind. Idk if it was on purpose or what, but the previews being 4 episodes ahead is so good.

Yeh definitely I know what you mean seems that way for sure, in the novel at least though Chu Zhao has his like own goals, the things he ruifei does are truly just evil and greedy. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the drama though

Ruifei, Chu Zhao is not a full on villain, he's a gray type character, he's not full villain but also not completely good. Ruifei is just a full on villain .

Ep 13 is up on kisskh! Seems like kisskh is slowly catching up with the express releases, hopefully starts releaisng the express episodes at the same time like it usually does

Can I just ask, if it scheduled for release on 18th, wouldn't it be weird that it starts before Legend of female general ends? At earliest LOTFG would end around the 20-22nd, I just thought releasing this before that ends would hurt numbers for both dramas? But maybe like you said they just need to fit in before the other drama's you mentioned.

Haha no problem, the book is definitely worth, also recommend the book for upcoming mo li with Cheng Lei and Bai lu, so good as well!
