Any time, yeh I'm not sure either, maybe I'm forgetting parts of the novel but to be honest, he doesn't appear much in the novel, and he's always scheming for revenge, so I don't remember him falling for her. They barely talked in the novel so I dunno. I don't think we have to worry about him falling for Wan in the drama.

In the novel he does not fall for Wan, he's meant to marry Yue Ning in the novel. Atleast, from what I remember, maybe I missed it or forgot, but I don't remember him liking Wan at all in the novel.

Yeh if you've seen today's episode remember how there was that imperial guard lieutenant that walked by before the hunt that Qin Xiang looked down upon and that helped Qin Shuang when she hurt her ankle. That guard was mean to marry Qin Xiang as he's from a good family with a lot of potential, but after she becomes a concubine, Qin Shuang marries him and they live happily. And yeh in the novel, Chi kills Cheng after Cheng betrays Chi and kills a lot of his soldiers. So in return Chi kills him as revenge. At least that's in the novel idk how much they will include. But Qin Xiang never heard of after that, she's a widow and who else knows what, she deserves it for sure 😂

Yeh ikr, honestly wouldn't be that bothered if they didn't include her becoming a concubine, but from today's scenes of her interest in the villain prince, they probs will. Hopefully it's quick. Also in the novel Qin Shuang gets married to that guard from today's episode. She's become a way nicer person and an actual good sister to Qin Wan, so it's nice for her to have a happy end. But still gonna take up so much screen time.

Yeh, she has an affair with him and then becomes his concubine. It makes her family furious as they are on the side of the crown prince, she essentially joins their enemy. Plus, with her status of being the legitimate daughter of the branch family, being a concubine is looked down upon. She's practically disowned by her family and her mother after that.

100% yeh I agree, also I think to bring in blind prince Yan zhe so late into the drama, plus he's a played by a pretty well known actor not like a newbie actor if that's makes sense, definitely won't have a minor role, he'll definitely be important.

In the novel it's never really explained that well to be honest. But after the rebellion the emperor's face was badly burned and scared when he was brought back, so no one recognized him initially, they rescued him based on his sword which identifies the emperor. However, the empress knows and its hinted the empress dowager knows also he's an imposter, but as for everyone else, never really explained honestly. Probably just use the excuse his appearance changed due to healing from the injuries but they never really say for everyone else. Also it's worth noting, in the novel the fake emperor was actually the younger brother of the emperor (which they changed for the drama). So I'm guessing as they were related they might have looked similar already.

In the novel he's both, he manipulated Li Muyun to report FL's father to test if his theory about the emperor being fake was right or wrong. As a result the Shen family was killed, so he's harmed a lot of innocent people. But at the same time, the emperor killed his mother to cover up his crime and poisoned him, so he's doing it all for revenge, and later allies with FL and ML and poisons the emperor and dies together with him in a fire. So essentially, he's both good and bad. He's trying to expose the emperor and get revenge for his mother, but he's doing it in a bad way, hurting innocent people like the Shen family.

If you mean ML's dad, nah he just is really committed to getting rid of the enemy/invaders, so he wants to eliminate all the threats in the north before handing control over. He's just essentially super committed to protecting the empire, he wants to ensure everyones safe in the North before handing command over, he just doesn't realize what's going on behind the schemes.

Yan Ze was introduced in today's episodes. Nothing to do with the cult, or at least it seems that way so far as he shows up after the case is closed, but he does show up, and the case was not closed fully. Finally though, we have all the pieces for the final case, with Yan Zhe showing up.
