Yep in the drama, Shen Yi pretends to be Qin Wan. But in the novel, Shen Yi dies in her real body and the the real Qin Wan dies , then Shen Yi wakes up in Qin wan's body, so its Qin Wan's body, but Shen yi's spirit kind of, she takes over Qin Wan's body. Shen Yi remembers all her memories and some of Qin Wan's memories, but not all.

In the novel her identity does not get exposed by the villain but that's because in the novel she dies as Shen Yi and gets reincarnated in Qin Wan's body who was also killed, so there's a fantasy element. Where as in the drama, it's Shen Yi who survives and pretends to be Qin Wan. So in the novel she is actually 'Qin Wan', as Shen Yi reincarnates in her body after she dies. This was changed for the drama because of china's tv regulations, this is not allowed I think that's why. So in the novel she is never exposed but as for the show, I'm not sure if they will follow this.

Definitely agree, it will interesting to see how all the cases so far, or at least some of them, are connected to the overall main case. From the looks of it they will dedicate a good 9-10 episodes on the main case, which I like, as hopefully it gives them time to really go into detail and conclude everything nicely, nothing rushed hopefully. But yeh it will be interesting to see who sides with who, will it be like emperor against everyone else or will there be 3 or even 4 different sides going against each other, it will be interesting. The little kid prince definitely has an important role, I'm so glad they included him. And I also hope by the end they give Yan Li a purpose, as well as a relationship with Yue Ning. Anyway, these last 10 episodes are gonna be really good, I can feel it.

The cult is definitely suspicious, especially since its related to a case the FL's father worked years ago. These last few cases all have some kinds of connection to FL's father or the emperor in the end. You're right about Yan Li, in this episode he was in his feelings about not being loved or cared for, so he was really emotional when he realized Yue Ning was looking for and worried for him, it was quite cute. There was no relationship between those two in the novel so I'm interested to see how it turns out.

He does not die in the novel.

Eventually they are granted permission and marry pretty easily. There is only one hinderance where the crown prince and other prince plot to marry the Fl, but the ML easily outsmarts them and they get married without too much hinderance. But the emperor is evil, and does try to imprison the FL in the palace, but Ml saves her. This is not to stop their marriage but he wants to kill ML. Whole long story why, but the leads marry without too much hinderance in the novel.

I also feel like even though they never say the age, technically in the novel the Fl is like 17 and ML is like 22, so they're pretty young and new to romance, where as in good boy they're like 30, so that's the difference. But good boy is a great Kdrama, highly reccommend.

Yeh that scene is at the end of ep 24. Even from that video you linked it looks like such a good kiss, I hope they release it properly.

So disappointing, but I saw a post on Weibo or something where the director said they cut it because they felt based on Yan Li and Yue Nings reaction, a hug was more realistic based on how they reacted. But he also said that if the fans wanted it they would give us the kiss scene.

Definitely a creepy case, and points to a sinister organization behind the scenes. As for Yan Li, was a simple misdirect, he was just off at a brothel/dancing with girls and drinking the whole time lol, but Yue Ning was worried for him and there was a cute scene when she found him

Hahaha I'm the same, love spoilers, and definitely agree, really toxic. After ML said he would get the emperor to grant her a home, FL mentioned she wants to stay in her uncle's home, close to her old family home and ML said he would move her stuff immediately to move out. Hopefully wasn't just talk and happens soon.

Funny you mentioned this, don't wanna spoil to much, but in today's episodes the ML and FL had a romantic scene where they mentioned her moving out and she mentioned a house she would like and he said he would get it for her, seems like that's the idea, for her to move out soon

Yeh honestly one change they made, in the novel the aunt isn't as scheming or hateful, even Qin Chuyao is mostly nice, except when she gets jealous for a little bit, but then not too bad again. They definitely made her and her mother more scheming and meaner in the drama. Even the uncle isn't too bad. Overall they made the main Qin family more scheming in the drama. Don't get me wrong in the novel they scheme also, but not as mean and they kind of have a truce. But whatever, not everything can be perfect.

CP definitely has a crush on her and suggested to Fl's 'dad' that she be his concubine, but there was a scene where the empress puts a stop to any ideas he had about the FL or about anything else. Also there's a scene today where both grandmothers spoke together about how the ML and Fl like each other so they would also put a stop to it if it happened. There's nothing official to technically stop as it would only happen if the emperor orders, but grandmothers would definitely stop it as they already know ML and FL like each other. And empress is heavily against it.

Definitely agree before this I was wondering how they would fit in all the cases for the novel but they've done a really good job, the pace is really good
