Going by the book he is the first, but who knows they might change it, but so far they've pretty closely followed the book.

In the book they are super intimate and romantic together, they kiss a lot, and get together super early. Where they are currently in the show, they kiss at the end of the current case. In the book I believe around chapter 145-150.

Ratings definitely make no sense, but I just finished ep 1 and saw the ep 2 preview with subtitles and it's clear they definitely have a past. In ep 2 preview she said 'we were together before' (it's vague so might not be romantic) and 'does he not remember me'. During ep 1 she says 'seems like you've become a good lawyer.' So they definitely have a past, but not sure if that past was romantic or not yet.

I want to suggest the Seven relics of ill omen. A great drama that blends action, mystery, suspense, romance, adventure and some comedy. Once the main leads are together there is no official breakup or official separation. There's a plot twist with the FL half way through that causes an unofficial separation between ml and fl, but the ML never gives up and it's never an official breakup and doesn't last long at all. Hard to explain without spoilers, but overall once the leads are officially together, they are very supportive and understanding of each other, a great relationship. Not a drama to be taken too seriously, this is not a romance drama primarily, more a mystery and adventure drama, with romance throughout, just a fun, enjoyable watch.

Yeh ngl, they really stretched it out in the novel, made it more like she thinks she doesn't deserve him so she stays away kind of cliche, wish they got together way sooner in the novel. But I think since the show is only 23 eps they will hopefully not made their separation too long.

Yeh they get together at the end of the last chapter literally at the very end, but there are two epilogue chapters showing them married with kids, hopefully they include those. They never really become friends/interact as much as before, hard to explain but they avoid each other for a long time, but at the same time they steal glances at each other and worry for each other, you can tell they like each other but she's not ready for any relationship and with her family situation, they keep their distance mostly. But some situations happen where they still care and protect each other. So they like each other, but except for a few situations, they don't interact as much as we have seen them. Kind of hard to describe their relationship because they both admit they like each other (she doesn't tell him but tell's her mother) but she's not ready and he leaves to study abroad. Eventually when she's ready, she reaches out to him and they get together and that's the end.

Don't read this if you don't want a spoiler, but in the novel they literally get together at the very, very end. So I'm hoping this is changed a bit.

Hahaha maybe I'm so used to him being the villain that him being average is nice to me haha but I thought he was nice just tough on the outside

The only good role of his that I have seen is in Nothing but you. It's a really good cdrama. He takes on the role of a tennis coach. He starts of as strict and quite mean/rude to the ML, but this is due to a misunderstanding. He later shows he is a caring, kind and well meaning coach. One of his nicest roles in my opinion. Worth a watch if you want to see him in something different.

I want to suggest the kdrama Pump up the healthy love. It's not romance heavy but the Ml and Fl have great chemistry throughout. They only get together in the last episode, but there's no break up (she travels overseas for work but they discuss together and he said he will wait and its a happy reunion when she returns). Overall it's a funny, easy watch NOT TO BE TAKEN TOO SERIOUSLY. It's not for everyone as it has a unique sense of humor but even though it's unique I found it funny/entertaining. It's a cute, relaxing watch, with minimal stress and angst.

Definitely hope it releases earlier, iqiyi previously announced it as part of its q4 schedule, so late this year, but honestly since it just wrapped in April, I can't see it being any sooner then end of year. But would love for it to be earlier just finished reading the novel.

I believe I was the one who ended up recommending Undercover High for the list, and like you after watching it I wanted to watch something similar with action, romance and laughs. For anyone looking for something similar I recommend:
Stealer: the treasure keeper, really underrated I believe, has suspense, a little romance and laughs. Not to be taken too serious and a fun watch.
As well, the all time classic Healer but most people have probably watched it.
Also Flex X cop for anyone that hasn't watched it is great, minimal romance (the creator did say in an interview season 2 will have more romance between ML and FL), but its funny, suspense and the action is there.
Terius behind me is a sweet, action and romance drama that has similar vibes to undercover high.

Most likely end of this year/early next year. Just finished filming in early April, has to undergo editing, cgi and all that type of stuff, then passing censorship, getting distribution license, finding investors/sponsors and all that type of stuff, before finally finding a place to fit it in the schedule. Usually takes around a year ish, maybe sooner but end of this year at the earliest.

Ren Jia and happy ending, two things that will never go together.

They shoulda just made this a cute, light hearted university romance where the funny ML slowly melts the cold hearted FL and they end up happily ever after with no break ups or misunderstandings, and they build a company together, realizing and supporting their dreams together. This whole drama went downhill once the flashbacks ended.

Absolute joke that they get back together at the beginning of the last ep, this had so much potential but they give us a rushed reunion at the start of ep 28. No talk or sorting out issues, no redemption from the FL or the ML just get back together. Could have been so much better, if I had any hope left in this show it was gone when they waited till the last ep to get back together, with no discussion or sorting out their issues. Could have had them get back together earlier and showed the growth in their relationship, how they matured and how they support each other, instead we got a bunch of episodes of the FL continually rejecting the ML and then a rushed reunion with them not even discussing past issues like they never happened. If they were gonna have them get back together like nothing ever happened then they should have done it earlier.

I saw a previous comment regarding Always Home. Always Home is a great, minimal angst, easy, warm and fun watch. For me it should definitely be on the list, the main ML and FL don't break up once they get together, they do have an argument in the second last episode but resolved it through good communication very quickly. Besides that, there are no break ups or misunderstandings between them. Always home has similar vibes to' When I fly towards you', which I also love. High school friendships, adventures in high school, cute crushes and eventually romance once they go to university. The SML and SFL do break up but honestly they never should have been together, but as for the ML and FL they have a great relationship from friends to romance, I think it should be on the list.

I think undercover high should be added to the list, no break up, and while not a full blown romance, their chemistry is very good and they are very supportive of each other once the ML's secret is exposed. Also once they are together, they stay together, happens quite late in the series though.
