Yeh I agree, giving off that vibe for sure. And yeh he truly messed up but in his view his mentor was hiding evidence and he didn't know the real reason. Honestly in the novel, we find out why but he kind of gets forgotten after that. Hope in the show we get a bit more closure.

100% agree, there's often melon's going around that especially use high traffic stars just to gain buzz for a show. Always better to doubt the cast until it's official. Anyway, I think they made the right casting choice for this show and for MM best of both worlds.

100% these rumors are fake. I love Bai lu, ARP and Landi Li so not spreading hate for any. But 1, Bai lu doesn't fit the age of this character, remember she's meant to be a teenager/early twenties. Nothing against Bai Lu, she's stunning, but plays more mature characters now. Also her schedule is packed with MM filming and northward and feud, she would have no time. And like you said, at the time of filming this, no one would have known if MM would be successful and that Bai lu and ARP would have good chemistry, so there would be no reason to film another drama based on them together so quickly. So let's not spread rumors and cause hate for any of these actors. MM was great, and Coroner's diary is great, lets appreciate and enjoy both.

In the novel he's an ally of the crown prince, but he is actually good/not bad. He genuinely thought the FL's father was corrupt and reported him believing he was protecting Prince Jin. He was unaware of the consequences and that the Shen family would be killed. In the end it was a misunderstanding, the FL's father was hiding evidence because of another reason, but Li Muyun thought he was trying to protect Prince jin. So in the end, he wasn't bad, he was trying to do the right thing, but didn't realize the bigger picture. This is just the novel though, the drama might change this.

Definitely, it was one of the first donghua I ever watched and it's so good. If they follow the donghua it will be really good.

To be honest with you, as far as I can remember, there was no such romance in the novel haha, I might be remembering wrong as I read it a while ago, but I think its a drama only romance. Same with Yan Li and Yue Ning, also a drama only romance, was not in the novel.

I'm sure I will, I really liked The best thing with Linghe earlier this year and Princess royal with them both, just want to watch when its over completely so I can binge and hopefully it has a happy ending.

I've been watching coroner's diary and I really like it. I've also read the novel for it so maybe that's why but I found coroner's diary pretty good so far. I feel like, I want to watch this after it's done completely based off some comments. Also since Story of Kunning palace, I do like Linghe so I do want to watch this, but likely after coroner's diary.

Ikr the novel is 2400+ chapter so really not sure how much they will include. I would love if it was multiple seasons, but multiple seasons is super rare for cdramas, especially with high profile cast member like Yang yang and big budgets. Obviously there are some though, so there's hope.

I believe that Prince Jin's house, but not 100% sure. I just get a feeling that's what makes sense, especially with how the magistrate or whatever reacted.

Yeh, also the next door part the ML mentioned buying it back after it was confiscated. It wasn't too clear but she moved into Qin Liang's house, but the next door part where ML said he bought it, I think that's her old house (as in Shen family house), otherwise why would it be confiscated. Wasn't too clear so not sure but that's what I felt like it was.

hahah same, villain prince and li mu just something about them gives anxiety. I hope her identity doesn't get exposed either, but since it's one of the main differences between the novel I'm looking forward to how it turns out.

yeh its not amazing but not bad, I watched it because was looking for something similar to imperial coroner, Ince I Strat a show I like to finish it. I found it decent, but imperial coroner definitely better.
