Spoiler❗️I just came across a ig reel that said that ML has a first love who is dead and he is still in love…
As others said, quite literally just click the spoiler button right next to the post button. Or did you not do it on purpose so you could tell everyone you're dropping the drama.

I remember something his father said to him that went over his head. His father said that only when you have worked…
Yeh thats true, but she knows a lot I just feel like her sister is the type to confront ML when she finds out about the divorce and everything he's done. Sister has been super protective and supportive of FL recently, which I appreciate.

Honestly I don't understand why he didn't get a contract wife for his needs. He never wanted a genuine relationship…
Yeh for sure, for people like us, contract makes sense. I think he will learn his lesson as well.

No, her parents found out themselves, the spoiler clip I saw had a full monologue from mother in law. She investigated FL right after they met for the first time. She liked her background, and liked how she was able to talk to her way out of situations, knowing she was lying about her background and stuff. She found her calculating which she liked. Haoming didn't tell them, I don't think he knows they know. She wasn't cruel I won't say, just made her do extra chores like take care of Hao Chen and stuff like that. But she actually did like her, like that she was smart, but kind of looked down on her background, saying she was easy to control and stuff. You see where ML learned it from really.

I think so, although the sudden turn to clothing design is a bit weird. But I'm sure they'll explain it.

Definitely not the right strategy for sure but again, in his eyes FL was that type of person, who wanted his background, exactly the type of persons you mentioned, he didn't know she was after love, based on her background, she should be the type of person that wanted his money and status. So it's his lack of willingness to enter into a contract because it puts them on equal footing and he looses control. For instance they could threaten to expose the contact if he doesn't do things they want. Thats why, instead of approaching FL with a contract after he found out her background, he manipulated her instead. He needs full control. He likes the feeling of having full control, knowing everything about someone and them not knowing anything about him. Even though a contract makes more sense to you and I, loosing that little bit off control is unacceptable to him.

It's been spoiled that she already knew. Whole time she was testing her on purpose, and finding her more capable. She also liked FL because she did things like chores and took care of Hao Chen, other things a woman of greater background and status would never do and that helped relieve her stress she said. So mother in law knew the whole time and was playing both FL and ML as well.

Thats true, more like if he had been honest after they got to know each other, it's his unwillingness to not be honest that cost him. She was ready to be honest and we saw how she loved him and accepted his son. But by then it was too late, his mind was already made up. It's a catch 22, to get to the stage where she is in love with him, she needed to lie, and by then his mind was already made up because of her lies. But if she didn't lie, maybe they would have never reached that point.

I don't think a contract would work. First need to find someone capable, and anyone capable would not easily sign a contract. Then is it a life long contract or short term. What do they want in return. And most importantly a contract also gives the other persons leverage. ML is the type of person that wants full control. He thought he had full control over FL, as he had all the leverage, while she had nothing. With a contract, all of a sudden it's more of an equal footing, and he doesn't like that. Honestly, better choice would have just been to accept Fang Lei (though that would have been gross with her sister) but she would do anything for him, knows all his secrets and has a powerful father. And if he asked her to even be in a pretend marriage, she would agree with how obsessed she is.

Well in ep 12, Jiang Yan did give her a flirty kind of glance so I can see that happening. And yeh definitely need to learn about her past, I hope they bring back grandma for it, or possibly older sister. Or really, just meeting her real parents and realizing what piece of works they are.

Yeh, its was such a nice confession, I dunno how anyone stays so cold to that, but he's just too convinced she's after his money and status.

Very nice break, stern and succinct. Yeh from the looks of the second clip, she starts a clothing brand or something, and him, I think he's suffered at work. There were spoilers going around he would face a set back at work, maybe that's happened.

I think if they were both honest, he would have realized she was not after his money, and opened his heart a bit more, or maybe you're right he would have not believed her still. It all comes down to his belief that she is after his money and status. He refuses to believe her otherwise. Only after the divorce when he realizes the truth and it's too late, will he start chasing her back and properly open his heart so they can have a real relationship. Whether she takes him back or not we'll see.

100%, a big wake up call to Ml as well. Pretty much making it clear, she was not after this money at all, otherwise she would jump at the bank card. She's also just saying she doesn't need him anymore. Gotta love it.

100% he greatly underestimated her and over estimated himself. He over estimated his control of her, and he honestly under estimated how determined and capable she is. I think mother in law also didn't realize she was so much better than expected as well.
