Tonkla --> best character by far. He's so valid and I hope he will have at least a halfway happy ending. Fuaiz is such a versatile actor; I'm really impressed.
First: James has to be really stupid if he really believes Min killed Q. The guy didn't want to do it in the first place and was ready to back off because the victim, who was drunk out of his mind btw, offered him a flower.
Second: if Q really wants to, he can escape, and my guess is that he won't, voluntarily. Min, despite obviously physically stronger, has to be the most reluctant and worst kidnapper in the world. Q also looks smarter than him, although this is just my feeling, and I might be wrong.
If I understood correctly, the director said at the beginning we get a sweet happy ending...Btw: Benjamin is adorable.…
According to what I managed to see from the link to the book I got yesterday, they are at 35 chapters at the end of episode 6. The kiss happens exactly in chapter 70 of the version of the book I got, so if they continue like that, my guess would be that this is the point when season 1 would end, i.e. at least we would see them coming together or admitting their feelings.
i'm geniunely so confused why do i see so many people saying "omg this is giving me stay with me/addicted vibes"…
I just finished Addicted, so I can say this one is nothing like it, there are no toxic characters here. Yes, Jiang Tian follows Wang around, but not in the same way Gu Hai did. When we compare Addicted ep. 11 and The On1y One ep. 6, because I agree the situation was somehow similar - one character pulling away and the other one suffering because of it - the difference is obvious.
To sum it up: the charaters and their relationship are way more balanced here than it was in Addicted.
I can't comment on the novel, although it's not possible to adapt everything exactly as it is, this is why it's…
And in Taiwan they are not doing well? I thought this Douban site was Chinese, but maybe I misunderstood. Yes, it would be a disaster if they fail in Taiwan.
I'm greatful anyway, even if it stays like that and they don't do a second season. Hopefully they won't end it with a cliffhanger.

This is very subjective, but I have no idea what, by their standards, "handsome" means. From my POV, as an European, they are both good-looking young men. I guess they had good reasons not to release this officially in China, then. If the bad rating is mainly for that, I would ignore it. Their acting is amazing, they are giving it their all, and they have chemistry.
I really don’t understand the low ratings on Douban, especially since they’re not even critiquing the plot.…
I can't comment on the novel, although it's not possible to adapt everything exactly as it is, this is why it's an adaptation, but what's wrong with their appearance? I get that they are much older than their characters, but they can pass as being in school, it's not that obvious. And they are definitely not bad-looking, especially Wang, with these expressive big doe-eyes he has. Did they expect more classically good-looking actors or do they say they look too old?
There aren't quite as many negative comments here as in the other comment sections and in my opinion it's mostly…
I absolutely agree! Not all stories need NC scenes, it depends on the genre and the general mood of the story. High school romantic comedies are ok with only a kiss or two and if they are done well, people like them anyway and would rate them well. The aforementioned Takara's Treasure was absolutely fine with the two or three kisses they had, because it wouldn't have had suited the story otherwise.
Maybe there are stories who automatically get a higher rating because of NC scenes, if these are good ones (Love in the Air and Love in Translation come to mind ), but if a BL is bad, not even numeruous NC scenes can save it and it would get a bad rating anyway. At least I hope that the majority of people judge the story by its merit, and not only whether there's a NC scene or not.

I think I'm getting used to it too, but sometimes I'm still like: seriously, no one acts like that, tone it down plz. :D. The fact that usually the Japanese BLs release one short episode a week helps.

My problems with Takara are not because there are no NC scenes. But I'm not the person to talk, because I have my problems with the style of most Japanese BLs and especially the acting.
Is this worth the watch? I’ve also been watching The On1y One so skipping this one doesn’t really bother me…
I watch and like both, but The On1y One is better IMO. Still, I would advise you to try this one and see if it's for you. A piece of advise - watch the uncut version, they've removed important scenes in the cut one, no idea why. The biggest issue here is the editing, there are some weird jumps in the story. But the leads are good, the sights are beautiful, and the story flows. So far, it's not toxic.
YouTube version is really really confusing and felt rushed. You'd probably be better off watching uncut longer…
The cuts on YouTube are weird, I don't know how and why they've decided on them. There are at least two very important scenes cut from the latest episode. I don't know who decided to remove them, but the story makes sense only with them.
To sum it up: if possible, watch the uncut version, they are not cutting NC scenes, but important plot scenes, at least so far.

I don't think Jiang Tian knows it yet, but he's down so hard. Seriously, whereever Wang goes, that boy follows.
