Any love triangle I should be wary of. Too many dramas lately focusing on that and to be honest I'm over it.
There is a SML that loves FL. The only thing he does is teasing FL and ML. He never harms any of them or have any bad intentions towards them and never forces anything on FL. Also FL never feels anything about him, sees him just as a good friend. His character develops into a very supportive friend of FL.
I couldn't never hate the General, he was so dumb, always shirtless for no reason, always being outsmarted hahahahaEverytime…
It really looked like the director undressed all actors and found the one with the best body to be shirtless all though the drama to give watchers what they really liked. Even as a man, I enjoyed him this way through the drama :)))
Many thanks to all the staff of this drama. It was amazing. I should specially thank the writer and the FL's actress for their great work. I don't dare to call it a masterpiece, but it has some great characteristics that make this drama unique. I think the writer of the drama feels the same as us, frustrated with messy plotlines and angsty. So he decided to treat C-Drama watchers with a drama that have everything, except frustration.
1. The story is very exciting, it has complicated plots and serious challenges. Yet, it never makes you frustrated or angry. It never drags. They build up the story in a way that all your worries go away, one by one. By the premise of the story, it should be hell of a mess, but they could skillfully make a consistent happy path through it.
2. There a lot of interesting plotlines and twists, even at the end. But there are some times that writers just ignored some stuff and let it be simple. They could have made some decisions by some characters more reasonable and consistent. But I like the idea of making it quick and simple. Character developments, relationships, sacrifices, even deaths, they were all quick. I like it, because it supports the defintion of entertainment. You just sit and enjoy.
3. FL is supersmart, like very very smart, much more that any character in the drama. ML is supportive, sacrificial and sweet.
4. It is consistantly funny, yet it does not loses its seriousness, and never forgets its core concepts and ideas, like patriotism, gender equality, people's safety, peace and tranquility of a country.
5. The acting of the FL is amazing. She is excellent. I don't know how to express my admiration for her, but she really carried the drama. Other actors were also good, but she was great. She could protray many emotions, conditions and reactions so well. When she was in love, when she was angry, when she was "THE LORD", when she was shy, .... Her amount of expressiveness just blew my mind.
6. The progress of the romance is unique. It doesn't start with accidental kiss. It doesn't progress with forced situations. It doesn't drag with unnecessary shyness or conservativeness. It doesn't hold because of misunderstandings. And it doesn't break because of stupid decisions. Also it doesn't spark with moon watching (oh I'm so sick of this trope). So prepare yourself with some hot start from our leads. :)
7. FL's character is amazing. She is decisive and smart, she is caring and kind. She also has good sense of judgement of characters and situations. She never looks weak. Never goes back on her principles.
This is like a hidden gem. It's comedy is funny, it's romance is fulfilling, it's storyline is interesting, the…
I'm on ep 12 and the plot is so satisfying. I think the best word to describe the plot is "satisfying". It's neither too complicated, nor too simple. It is neither too smart nor too dumb. The point is not about the complexity or excitement. You see just want to wish to see. They just gathered all the frustrations that we encountered in C-Dramas, recreated the situations and gave them the outcomes that we wished to see, but usually couldn't. I will definitely follow the works of the writer of this drama.
You must have not seen eternal love 3 😊; they kissed a few times in one episode❣️
Oh! yeah, I have not watched the season 3 of eternal love. I only watched the first season and dropped it at the beginning of the second season. I don't know why, but I couldn't connect the story and the chemistry of the leads. Maybe I would try it.
I guess the big difference between Eternal Love's kisses and this one is that Eternal Love 3 is the continuation of a previous story, so episode 1 there, is actually episode 55 if you consider all the seasons. But here they are at the start of their relationship. It is absolute episode 9.
I'm on episode 9 and I should say the number of kisses in this drama is unbelievable! They just kiss left and right. I don't know how many more I will see, but I can say that this drama has the most number of kisses until episode 9 among all available C-Dramas.
I recommend to watch it, because I think most reason behind the low rating is the last minutes of ending, so the rest of the drama should be enjoyable.
I loved the FL and all of the male leads except Jin Han lmao. Their interactions were all good but the story is…
I like Jin Han so much and the reason this drama became one of my favorites is him. It would be an honor for other actors to play alongside such a great actor!
Now I can say that Chinese writers just deliberately ruin the endings. How can they build up nice stories and ruin them this much badly at the end. I bet there is somebody in the team that has the role of "How to mess with the audience and imagine the most messy ending possible".
Some elements in this drama makes me unable to find something similar, so I have no choice, but to rewatch it. 1. It starts from an arranged marriage. 2. FL is graceful and elegent. I'm really tired of clumsy, childish, or troublemaking FLs with overreacting and bold behaviors. 3. ML is respectful, strong, mature and smart. 4. FL is also smart. 5. Nothing supernatural or extraordinary is in the story. The story is believable. 6. Despite some misunderstanding, their relationship actually grows and you can witness two people falling in love. In the end, it feels like a very mature love.
b.t.w Do you know any historical romance dramas with these characteristics?
Not only is she so beautiful and cute, but also she can act very well. A wide range of facial expressions and sharp emotions. I really like her acting.
She is so charming!
