I love the novel and so far they're doing justice to the original source, the cgi is so on point that other dramas should take some pointers. Btw, I can't believe that I totally forgot how Esther and Yuxi had a drama before this, I'll rewatch that while waiting for the new episodes :)
Their chemistry is to die for, last episode was a bit meh but still love this mess of cliche. I'm so used to seeing Satoh Takeru as Kenshin that I forgot how he looked in modern dramas. He is so fine, the feels I get from his smile is killing me over here 😅 help.
Okay, people are bashing the female lead... exactly for what!?! Someone can be good to you in all aspects yet a single mistake can be enough to demolish everything, that is life. Anyways, her father was the true trash, and Xingyan's stance about the funeral was such a let down, no one has the right to meddle into my relationship between me and my parents, be it my spouse or my children. Xingyan crossed the line for that one.
"Totally recommended to those who are in search for a fluffy drama with healthy mindset/smart/emotionally fulfilling…
They do have their bad moments but their communication and maturity through them is quite satisfactory considering the genre and overall positioning in the market.
Hello, everyone. I never watched Go Ahead because the love triangle between the brothers was off-putting. This…
Go Ahead has one of the most inconsequential love triangle ever, just see it for yourself. If you like reply 1988/series, Go Ahead has the similar vibes and it definitely raises the bar for its genre.
This series gives me life these days. I always said that PSH shines in more active roles instead of lovelorn innocent poor romcom female lead type variations. She rocks in this, love it. Get rid of the romance and that's where PSH shines the brightest, though this one is also a romance but thanks god that Crime and Fantasy tags are here to save the day :D
omg, this was so good, I' m blown away. There are dramas with the ten times budget or even more with big names plastered all over them with no substance. I really loved how there was an actual plot going on despite the duration limitations and it had an overall important message to its viewers which when done right it levels up a story from a mid tier to s tier for me, and in here it was done beautifully.
That is because you are looking at things in a very black and white way. With a privilege of not living in that…
ooooh no, I'm definitely not holding them against 2024's standards, not even close. I read, watch and consume fantasy themed media in all shapes and forms, that is my hobby so I can perfectly immerse myself in a fictional world. Yet, if one considers him/herself as a sentient and non-intellectually challenged human being, I do not see how a persistent perpetrator can ever become a possible romantic partner. One can overcome any hardships, adapt to every climate, pretend, kill, lie, steal and do literally anything to survive, that is instinct. Overruling that instinct and falling in love with your executioner is not common nor fits any frame of normalcy. If one were to develop such feelings under duress or later on due to powershift between the perpetrator and the victim, that should be considered some sort of illness or perversion. Which all in all can happen, that I can understand, but supporting it, defending it nor beautifying it, is simply gross. And I strongly believe this is point of view can hold through despite the passage of time, be it in past or future. Might not align with majority but I would rather believe that there is still some sense is left in humanity. This is not a white/grey/black discussion, this is simply outing the mentally disturbing romantic plot line that should not be happening ideally.
Lol people are calling it enemies to lovers. So they are fixated on that and can forgive anything and everything…
People are crazy, enemies to lovers, nope, not at all. It is a victim mistakes fear/pity/or whatever is the catalyst who knows as love towards her perpetrator. This is mental and I've seen a lot of f*cked up sh*t in the name of fiction and I'm afraid this has already made into that list.
After reading the comments I'm having a mental breakdown here, how on earth can she f*cking come to like him? Like hooooow?!? And people are supporting their so called romance. If someone tried killing me over and over again, I survived by only pure luck due to plot armor I see no possible outcome that involves me falling in love with that dipsh*t. And this includes any fiction version of my life I would fancy. I'm just mad at this point but the production value of this drama is too good for me to drop it now.
I'm at ep 9 and I see no possibility between Jiang Ci and Wu Xia or Pei Yan. Unless Jiang Ci gets a serious amnesia or she goes through a character regression. I mean, be it fiction or not who in their right mind would like someone who killed them thrice and even now still counting.
Episode 7 was simply unacceptable, not that it wasn't horrible up that point but still I could get over them in the name of fiction but not this. Pimping out your so called love of your life has no explanation whatsoever. Gosh I'm mad.
Out of pure boredom I'm rewatching this after like 2 years or so this but gosh I freaking forgot how much of a piece of sh*t Yin Si Chen was. He used, cornered and coerced Gu Xi Xi to unbelievably unfair situations over and over again. That was a total contract fraud. I've recently watched The Love You Give Me after keeping it on my watchlist forever but damn I'm so glad I've seen that after this one cause now watching this leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Now Wang Zi Qi's face isn't enough to stomach Yin Si Chen after seeing him Xin Qi and that goes the same for Wang Yu Wen too, as Min Hui she is so nice to watch, I love that character and as for Gu Xi Xi, she is too insufferable.
