Binged it again while waiting for the first frost and it is as good as I remembered. Duan Jia Xu is a whole green forest that's for sure but where can I find a Sang Zhi that's what I want to know.
I don't know if I would like a her as much as I do if it weren't for Zhao Lusi since people like Sang Zhi, who doesn't have a shadow in their heart, are too pure for real world, and frankly I'm too jaded to ever like people like her.
But she is like that umbrella when it pours down, the tiny shade under the harsh summer sun, last sitting place on a crowded bus, gentle breeze after a run, steady waves at shore when in despair...
She is someone that makes you want to give your best to and thrive your best for.

A person like Sang Zhi could only grow up under a loving family/envoirnment which is a luxury in its own and what I truly love about her that she never takes that luxury for granted, she truly lives up to love and care she is given.

This drama, these characters are truly a balm to my soul. I want to give all of them a big hug.

That intern d*ps**t is getting on my nerves, he came unannounced to her doorstep, what a creep.

Everything was so on point from start to finish, I'm really glad they didn't decrease the quality or pulled a deus ex machina yet still managed a really satisfying ending.
I really liked the female lead and how her character was coquettish at times yet not annoying at all, also she always had her beliefs very well anchored all the time, wasn't overbearing but persuasive, not vengeful yet not wishy-washy either.
Btw, I’m pretty surprised at her generosity in her first life, if it were me I’d probably not bother myself with the demon child in the first place, at most I’d let others deal with it and lend a hand when necessary. Falling for an annoying brat like SYS is something only MQG can achieve I guess, reformed and in love SYS is cute but the ungrateful brat version of him is really insufferable.
As for MRW, I really hate how insidious she was/is and even though I don’t agree with her actions I understand her desperation.
Some of us try endlessly with no result in hand and there is always that one person who is under the spotlight, without comparison maybe one could be content but if the said person is inevitably close to us then what… Overcoming that is no easy feat, even SYS in despair turned into evil, his saving grace was MQG and for MRW it was Sui Zhi but it was too late, wish she could’ve let go of her hatred and lived a better life.
Everyone makes mistakes, I hope that we all have both the chance and insight to make a remedy and not be stuck in regret and hatred.

In ep28, he said it was a recent war, a couple of months old at most, Battle of Fanyou.

No matter how far they can go it doesn't matter since themselves said that it was a nearby city, giving the information to the viewer. If distance is nonrelevant it shouldn't be mentioned at all.

It is not about that, logically in war times produce is scarce and since it is a city on border there should be at least some sort of unease that could/would happen due plundering from deserters or even enemies.

Still, if it is an active war zone you can't simply have such a bustling city with all those resources, there isn't even an unease going on in the city so much so that they're relaxed enough to have a lantern festival.

They said let's go to a nearby city to eat after placing the talisman, how far it could be.

I was watching this with a blissful ignorance without caring consistency issues since overall production is so gorgeous but ep29 was such a brain dead moment that it got me mad. Aside from the fact that everyone still believes that fake double we also have a wonderful date spot city next to a gruesome war zone.
Come on, you can't have a prosperous city next to barren war zone which is supposedly is filled with blood lust enough to open the door to netherland, they're even having a lantern festival. Writers and directors are shooting themselves with this one really.

Those who have seen it, does this drama has a tight plot?

p.s. I can take a brainless script for romance dramas as long as there is chemistry but this genre needs a well woven story line for me to enjoy.

This is fun, and sometimes that is more than enough.

It has the vibe from 2015 drama scene and I don't hate it. Actually, this is quite fun, not the best writing and acting per say but scenes actually flow with ease.
So far(ep10) aside from glorified business acumen/solutions of the female lead , I'm not really irked by the plot, without comparison this drama is enough in its own right.

First half of the Moonlight Mystique is great but it has the same problem with the Till the End of the Moon, main leads are always barely hanging onto life and at some point it makes you care less and less, hence emotional pay-off balance is way off.
Also there is too much talking with no actual substance, what they're doing is talked about a lot and not much is actually shown through actions. Overall it is a really well made production with an unfortunate pacing issue but still a fun watch for rainy days.

I mean really? There isn't a single plot point that makes any sense so far, your expectations are sorely misplaced for a drama like this.
I turned off my brain cells the moment I clicked that play button yet I still can't get over the pseudo cheating situation.

there are lots of good short length dramas out there with actual decent script, this ain't one of them but the leads are gorgeous so I'm killing my time along with my scarce brain cells at this point.

I'm usually down for a fun guilty pleasure dramas but this one is really not it. Male lead is getting his pleasure for sure but I'm not. Cheating trope(albeit technically not) with so many rape attempts is such a turn off.

So, she is the mistress of her own husband. Make it make sense. I don't care about the technical details, he is cheating on his wife, period.
Btw, this drama doesn't even deserve a comment, I'm just bored and I've been fast forwarding the heck out of it even though this is a 10 minute drama.
I've seen a lot of budget dramas with duration ranging from 1 minute to 10-15 minutes and this really ain't it. I can't understand how a drama like this can even get a budget.
In short this drama is the epitome of watpadd meets chatgpt in the worst way.

p.s. it is kinda fun though, both leads and their scenes together are hot, no skimping on the skinship XD

Not really, at some point of our lives everyone is the evil for someone else and is the best thing in the world to another. Those two things are not exclusive nor in contradiction.
