Why do I feel that starting episode 6 this has finally become solid? I so much enjoyed to liste the closing part…
Exactly. I think it is due to the fact that interactions between the characters are now finally taking a shape, and since we mainly see things from O Yi Young's perspective who was so ready to leave any moment and emotionally distant to other characters we can finally see her connection, hence we feel more connected to other characters.
Am I the only one who is totally crushing on their interactions of the main couple? I legit get butterflies from her crushing on him. It has the old k-drama vibes, no skinship yet pure romance, love that.
And of course this quad is so fun to watch, like I said before this installment is a lot simpler compared to HP but I love how easy it is to watch them.
Last season was melodrama all around, too much sympathy was present. I personally loved that kind drama, it made me root for their interactions but there were too many sheep and it sort of made all of them look dumb despite their qualifications. In this season I love how we can see each player actually plays and not lead by the collar, these people are smart and they are smart in their own unique way. Compassion is a human trait so is deceit, this show highlights how when one is too bent in one way or another intelligence becomes useless, reading people and situations coupled with brains is the way to go.
This show is a great social experiment and sheds light on how society governs itself when given free rein to some degree. You can't win without putting your personal interests first yet there is also nothing would be left to win if you take care of your interests only.
This is fun, vibe is different from Hospital Playlist and that's a good thing. It lacks the depth of the HP as there is no established relationships or history between the characters but a blank slate has it's own charms for sure. Last episode brought other departments into the mix which finally gave some dimension to this set up, would love to see the focus to be more on that dynamic from now on. It feels more organic to see the hospital as a whole instead of just ob-gyn.
This was so good, I'll be checking out Huang Hao Yue's new works for sure, she was fire in this drama. Ending was spot on, albeit a bit sad as she couldn't protect her closest people but also pretty inspiring too see her in glory. She fits the bill of a wise ruler for sure.
Don’t waste your time, let’s wait for a good drama to air though there’s a drought or watch an older drama.…
That bad huh, ouch... I just finished When Life Gives You Tangerines and I desperately need some unreal rom-com or at least a fantasy drama, so please I need some recommendations.
Reminds me of my mom - how I took her for granted when I was a teen, how I appreciated her when I matured, and…
Agreed and well said. Btw, 'Of course, he's still an eye candy even if he's all dressed up as a fisherman.', personally before this drama I never found PBG especially attractive, he has a fine face structure for sure but I never felt for his character until this one. Whatever he did for this role he really should keep up with it.
Lost respect for FL when she married the 1st guy into her and at 19 and even chose to have children before even…
Ae-sun was truly homeless yet gwan-shik gave her a home, they become each other's home. He was willing to take on the world with her, support and let her realize her dreams but life hardly goes as wish. Both of them were restricted by their circumstances yet still managed to make the best of the hand they were dealt with. Me too, I can never relate to that kind of love story, they were so loyal, so loving and so unconditional, unfortunately that only ends well in fiction... But it wasn't just about a love story between a man and a woman. Trials of familial love, resilience in front of up and downs of life, parental love and the different perspectives. This was a slice of life through and through. All of us are trying to get through life one way or another, if you can't relate to that struggle I don't know what to say really.
p.s. you almost sound like that rich girl from geumyoung's university friend group.
Spoiled that one with youtube before even I've seen a single episode of this drama, made me cry in that short 3 minutes. I knew what was coming yet when I saw the whole episode it still made me cry. The whole drama made me cry constantly, period.
I wish I've never seen this, not in a way so that I can watch it again but in a way that this broke my heart with no way of repair. I never cried so much while watching a drama, period. I freaking cried in every episode for at least 20 minutes. Watching last 2 episodes back to back was a mistake too, my head is hurting from constant crying. For those who is yet to see this, go ahead and watch it if your life has enough happiness to counter the sadness of this drama. I love this drama to bits but... ugh, this is killing me. My heart goes all the moms out there, may spring come for you as well.
I can't believe this novel is made into a drama, omg. Btw my bewilderment stems from the fact that I didn't think this novel was that good, like it was fine but was it good enough to warrant a drama that I don't know. I'm in Chinese drama drought right now, should I give this one a go?
So Yunxi was dead at the time of the festival, right?
Thanks for the detailed reply, it was such a bittersweet moment. I'm usually on the fence with open endings but this was done so beautifully that I can deal with it.
I did notice that he was with the dead ones. Are you saying he is also dead???
I think so but I hope not. We can't even refer this to the novel either as everything is so different from the novel and better actually. Unfortunately the novel version is a cookie cutter style rebirth story.
The main focus is on women so I'm actually glad that Yunxi wasn't like Duke Su, Hanyan was the main star and she…
And sometimes there is no need for a great male lead character to exist at all, this drama is one of them. Power couples are fun but a proper female lead is much more so. There are too many dramas with female centric that end up being reliant on male leads with no rhyme or reason. Btw, this drama had a great male character though, her father was an ordinary yet a great villain through and through, which was so realistic and on point. His slimy nature and fake tears made me watch all the annoying scenes. His ordinary evilness stemmed from his selfishness was beautifully represented by the actor.
