This Thriving Land sounds like a solid drama, will be tuning into that. I'm loving Legend of The Female General, it is well done and makes you care for its characters.
I've started to The Immortal Ascension, looked promising but I've learned that it was a harem novel so that is a hard pass for me, harem content makes me sick to my stomach even if it's not the main focus.
Sword Rose is good, Dilraba is rocking that role but a bit too heavy for me right now, will keep it on hold.
I might give The Wanted Detective a go but so far many of the period detective/case by case stories have let me down. Maybe I just don't like the genre.

I loved the part where He Yan told off Chu Zhao. I really hate when there is only one special woman who is different than every other woman so all the men are in love this one special snowflake. Like come on. I'm glad that b**lsh*t trope was addressed and trampled on in this drama.

crazy how one side character can make a great show hard to watch. 3 eps in and i want to enjoy it but shi yun…
I'm not sure if she is a great actress so that we all hate her or simply 'oh look at me I'm so innocent' type of face features that throws me off.

She could have done that. After she was "reborn" she could have just left but she chose the revenge arc...…
Wow, so I assume your definition of kindness includes turning your left cheek when your right cheek has been hit. Enduring and forgetting what has been done to you isn't kindness but rather being stupid.
I really don't know why people think the courage to retaliate makes you not kind. Her kindness is towards who actually deserves it and that is the way it should be. Unless you are some divine being who came to earth, I can’t see how one can be open hearted enough to forgive those who killed and stole your life’s work.
Anyways, you do you.

masculine where??? Please be for real🤣
I wouldn't say she looks more masculine than most of the male cast but she does have her moments where she looks really handsome.

Am I missing something? All I see is a girly girl who is supposed to be a man, hiding behind the ML. Isn't she…
Are we even watching the same drama? She was poisoned, wounded and driven to a corner yet managed to comeback from all of that. Which is already pretty dramatic and unrealistic. She is a fighter, a general but not an unbeatable monster. I find her pretty inspiring as a character.

Ngl, the complaints are getting annoying. Especially because, due to censorship, things are obviously not going…
Actually, my usual gripe with these military focused dramas is usually exactly this. There were some male characters that could barely lift their own arms yet are so called war gods. I would just laugh through all the drama.
Anyways, I'd say the main characters are kind of looking the part, aside from being too pale. They're promoted as skillful generals and not some unbeatable monsters. The fighting scenes are done so well and relies on the characters strong points instead of pure power. Of course there are many instances where s/he is a bit OP but that is the salt and spice of a drama afterall.

This is so good. Just what I needed but ugh, the endless waiting for a new episode is so hard.
There are just some dramas that make you smile the instant the characters start to interact and this is one of them. It is pure chemistry and magic of a good production.

I really liked this one and binged it in 3 days. But, I think we could've seen more of the squad and their stories. I wanted to see Ye Yun and Yu Qiao move on with other people too. Also, Du Shang and Cai Fang Yuan were so on back burner that I could barely remember them at some point.

Like some people mentioned this was so unrealistic, I get that they were childhood friends but we don't see where their strong connection comes from or why it can last at all.
Especially I still don't get why Yingtao liked Qiaoxi that much in the first place, and vice versa. I loved her bravery and resilience but what did she even see in Qiaoxi I don't think I'll ever get in my life time.
Anyways, this drama definitely lacked that 1% of something special that makes a youth drama heartwrenching yet so beautiful that it stays with you but still a solid one to enjoy to uplift your mood.

Yeah I thought I hated Min Hwan and Su Min, but Tomoya and Reina are honestly next level evil. Especially the…
I think Tomoya and Reina were more realistic and non caricaturistic like the k-version. Reina’s obsession was more subtle yet so deeply rooted. Su Min looked and behaved batsh*t crazy all the time. Reina was that classic green tea b*tch frenemy that snapped at the end.
On Marry My Husband: Japan Jul 25, 2025
I think Reina and Misa's closure was done so much better than the Korean version. I liked how everything was much tighter plot wise and it was more on the slice of life instead of melodramatic romance/revenge story.
But, even though I loved the acting overall, Reina and Wataru had more chemistry than Reina and Misa. Actually Reina had chemistry with everyone XD

Personally I don't mind if someone is gay but when they're bi I'm like no thank you. I wouldn't be able to date…
Thank you for replying with such kindness. You are right, I see how my comments can add onto stigma and feed unwarranted hate on bi people.
I shall be more mindful from now on :) God bless your heart.

Wrong, It actually goes something like this:Why Viewers Betray the Male Lead for the Second Male Lead (No Matter…
My standart is pretty low, as long as male lead doesn't try to kill the female lead in an unjustified cruel way I'm good. Plus no cheating.
Also, there this problem, sometimes the character or the actor just doesn't have the charisma to lead the drama itself, I'm like, why on earth his story is being told and not the NPC3's.

Personally I don't mind if someone is gay but when they're bi I'm like no thank you. I wouldn't be able to date…
I'm sorry if my comment has hurt you but like I said that is my own insecurity, there is no rhyme or reason to a person’s insecurity. In the simplest terms I believe man and woman can be really good friends but not best friends, for example I wouldn’t want my partner to stay over in a girl’s home alone, I’m not that magnanimous. Now, if that said partner is bi, I’d be equally uncomfortable with him staying over his guy friend's house.
I don’t care if modern people are more relaxed about their relationships, I’m not, and it’s not like everyone has to date bi people either. Btw, ‘‘Personally I don't mind if someone is gay but when they're bi I'm like no thank you.’’ this line was meant for dramas, not real people. I don’t like ambiguity when watching romance dramas, that's all. I don’t care about people's sexuality unless I’m dating them.

Anyways, not everyone has to be self assured and all accepting, I don’t have a vendetta against anyone. Wish you and your partner to have love and happiness through your lives.

I never like 2nd leads, but that doesn't mean I always like the main leads either. Sometimes all of them are trash, simple as that. But, usually I hate that fake nice guy 2nd lead persona, that kind of selfless devotion is creepy, opportunistic and frankly doesn’t make any sense. I don’t like third wheels or fake friends. A guy waiting for a what if whilst pretending to be your friend is just gross not cute.

ep 35Chu Hoi Gong is officially the worst character ever, my blood boils every time I see his face
He is not loyal, doesn't think about innocent people at any point and he is indiscriminate in his killings. We actually never see him act as a righteous character ever.

Just started ep 39 And I just wanted to say......Fu..k You Chu Hoi Gong FU..K YOUthe most irredeemable character…
He was a selfish trash through and through. I have never seen him put others before him or even be good to people who actually loved him. He was ready to kill, lie, steal and abandon in every turn yet he is blaming Nan Heng for all his troubles. Nan Heng was such a saint that it made no sense, people like Chu Gui Hong are the kind I'd rather never meet. A snake that what he is.
