Omg, that Shi Qian Lu, can't believe he made Ting Yan believe that she is his daughter. I really hate that.

He is a bit hit or miss for me but so far he is killing with this character. I thought it would be another broody male lead role, I'm glad it isn't and character's playful nature brings out CFY's strengths forward.
Yet, I'm still unsold at scenes where he should be all scary and overpowering, those scenes are working for me. To be fair, most of these actors with milky white skins and frail bodies hardly look intimidating, it is something I came to terms with C-actors.

ikr, they're so real as a couple, so much so that I feel like a third wheel for watching them XD. The comedic undertone is making it all work and I wish more dramas was like this. They are certainly in danger but I like the we can wing this just fine vibes.

I mean, she is no saint and have no compassion for Sima Jiao which is fair. Even she is planning to kill him she still thinks about the snake and LTY. So, I'd say she is pretty solid.
She is looking after her own people, she is not going after Sima Jiao for personal gain. Could she try to find a better way? Such as asking LTY, yes. But, she is trying to do what she can, can't blame her just because we like the male lead.

She is great in nobody, her sense of humor paired with touching emotional delivery was top notch. Her character was like a broken overpowered doll, pitiful, loveable, awkwardly funny and eerily beautiful.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that much intimacy. I love how Sima Jiao isn't another cool unfeeling male lead character. That guy was prisoned for 500 years yet still can find a way to be playful. Love that.
Ting Yan is one of the most relatable female lead characters, her a worker's holiday mood is so real and I love how she has her priorities set straight, eat, sleep, have fun, be good to those who are good to her, mind her own business, loyal when it matters.
Wasn't expecting much but I'm pleasantly surprised.

I almost forgot how long the dramas were before the 40 episodes limitation. I'll check it out. thx

He is one stable actor that I'd say, I always check out his works but also I've only seen him in too subdued characters for me to apperiaciate. And the character where he had more rizz the script was not up to par. Idk, he always makes me think that he could do so much more.

He gets my attention alright but all I remember is him not his characters.
Personally I'd like to see him in a more challenging role in terms of a gritty character with an edge. Maybe you can recommend me something he stands out as an actor? Would love to broaden my horizon.

Sorry but she is carrying this. I mean, I like Xu Kai, he looks fine but for me he can't lead a drama at all. Idk, all of the roles I liked him in were where his female co-stars had some charisma. To me, he is like Rowoon, pretty face, stable acting but not so memorable.

When you stop watching a drama to binge the episodes later only to find out it's not airing in the time frame you put it on hold :D
Also, all your ongoing dramas have opted for the exact schedule so you have basically nothing to watch. yey.

Their scenes are instant pass, I'm not watching that bs even at 2x.

She is so chill and I feel that in my bones. Her relatability level is at max.

I need another drama like this one, it is so cliche and I love it. We are only 5 episodes in and a lot of plot points are done and gone already, no need for long montages.

This is so old school and I'm all for it. I need another one like this to keep me satisfied. Any recommendations?
