That's very sweet of you. I get it though. It's really upsetting when people spread unconfirmed stuff and you know they already have a bias and it's frustrating but it's best not to direct a specific kind of hate at anyone.

I know how you feel frustrated but let's not spread the hate. I'm also really upset by the rumor-mongering but I didn’t name anyone because it's not about the one person. It's about the general spreading of such upsetting rumors without concrete evidence to go with it.

Isn't this your personal prediction?! Literally right this moment, there are wuxia and xianxia shows on air! There's no indication they are going to be banned.
Moreover, while the gov there is not the most logical or sensible, I don’t think closing those toxic supertopics and demoting rapists is really that unusual or an indication that historical shows will be banned for good. That's really jumping to conclusions.
We're all worried but spreading fear based on nothing but personal feelings is just very careless. We have already had stress injected here and we honestly don't need more of that right now.
It's best not to jump to conclusions. We should all remain calm and see how things go. This year is a bit delicate but next year will not be like this.

Most shows do have these as their backbone. The trick is a combination of 1)not mentioning the logic behind it, 2) using other terms for it, or 3) retcon it as a dream at the very end!

For other examples, may I introduce you to the term personal qin player. Which is known to mean male concubine. It's the same here. They won't say what it is, but viewer can figure it out.
Or like using aliens instead of mythological creatures in modern dramas.

We have to wait for them to air to know how they wrote around it! Usually the synopsis are based on the books for these shows so they are not 100% accurate for the show.

I think a lot of people don't know what is actually censored in cdramas. I actually saw list once made by a chinese person who explained each item and it's not what everyone thinks.
As long as there is plausible deniability, basically anything goes.
What is really banned is sxtreme content, that includes any extreme like nudity, violence, same gender relations, whatever, and anti-government propaganda, and historical inaccuracies.
Mythology is fine in costume dramas but not in modern time ones.
Transmigration is officially banned but if they don't call it that and imply it's actually anything else like a dream or a game or a hallucination, then it's fine.

Yeah, the show is pretty good. It's very short though. Hopefully there will be a second season.
