The fandom in china is out of control and very unhealthy. The companies, the actors management and movie productions, use actors as products to gain profit, sell merchandise and create hype. Now the way they are being treated has become dangerous. The western fandom scene was similar a few years back and then things changed. I don’t agree with forceful change as I think it’s superficial but that's how china does it and the fandom culture needs to change there.
All these hateful rumors about them and creating a network of threat and profit is very counter-productive.
I don't think it will ultimately change the production of shows except to create more competition to create higher quality shows that will stand out on their own merit.

That's very sweet of you. I get it though. It's really upsetting when people spread unconfirmed stuff and you know they already have a bias and it's frustrating but it's best not to direct a specific kind of hate at anyone.

I know how you feel frustrated but let's not spread the hate. I'm also really upset by the rumor-mongering but I didn’t name anyone because it's not about the one person. It's about the general spreading of such upsetting rumors without concrete evidence to go with it.

Well I specifically didn't name anyone because I mainly dislike the behaviour and don't want to start any hate train against anyone. A lot of people do this and I meant it generally.

I know this someone doesn't like 2ha, cfy or lyx and seems to have a personal contempt for the show. They just always talk negatively about this show. For comparison, the last show they treated like this was woh, until it blew up suddenly. Then it was suddenly the best show ever...

Isn't this your personal prediction?! Literally right this moment, there are wuxia and xianxia shows on air! There's no indication they are going to be banned.
Moreover, while the gov there is not the most logical or sensible, I don’t think closing those toxic supertopics and demoting rapists is really that unusual or an indication that historical shows will be banned for good. That's really jumping to conclusions.
We're all worried but spreading fear based on nothing but personal feelings is just very careless. We have already had stress injected here and we honestly don't need more of that right now.
It's best not to jump to conclusions. We should all remain calm and see how things go. This year is a bit delicate but next year will not be like this.

Most shows do have these as their backbone. The trick is a combination of 1)not mentioning the logic behind it, 2) using other terms for it, or 3) retcon it as a dream at the very end!

For other examples, may I introduce you to the term personal qin player. Which is known to mean male concubine. It's the same here. They won't say what it is, but viewer can figure it out.
Or like using aliens instead of mythological creatures in modern dramas.

We have to wait for them to air to know how they wrote around it! Usually the synopsis are based on the books for these shows so they are not 100% accurate for the show.

Yes? Because if everyone was good that would not make sense. So basically immoral things are done by bad guys. Good guys not so much although smart screenwriters do sneak things around.

That's such a weird reaction. That's going to degrade dramas so much. Idk how many people check out positive political tv dramas but they are near unwatchable.
