I just worry that if 10c doesn't air this soon, they will ban BL adaptations eventually and then we won't ever see it. If they air it, it'll be over and done with and they can sell whatever they want to sell for it and if bl gets banned later, youtube will still have the show! What a headache!

What you say is music to my ears! Honestly, I think half our worries will go away if the fan-culture breaks apart in China. Then we might see less fan-wars and sabotage and shows can just air and end peacefully.
I'd heard the actors for this show are reletively unknown (reletively). I'm once again baffled that these actors are somehow getting more heat than the actual megastars whose fandoms are seriously unhinged but I suppose those also generate the most money so on one cares?

Yes, they're both stupid rumors that barely make sense but the mere fact that there are these rumors out there is just so ridiculous.
The only thing that needs to be controlled in china is the circulation of these rumors. It's very shameful how everything goes up in flames when a random anonymous account on the internet says something.

If that article mentions hyx as an example of a bl show that is bad for the country then the show is set to get banned. If it's a general article, then it's a toss up. That said it just does not bode well for any of the shows in production or post-production right now.

It doesn't matter if it's real or not. The fact that the entire industry is so thoroughly ruled and controlled by rumors is disgusting. It's not like actual adults are in charge of things.
If I were China's government, I would ban gossip sites and put a high fee on those who start smear campaigns. It's such a mess. Any random petty fight puts millions of capital into jeopardy.

It's just grossness over grossness. You'd think their country is big enough for more than one drama to air but nooooo only one production can exist. I'm honestly disgusted. I think I'll take a break for a while. Can't handle this amount of greed and backstabbing.

Well I did more research and this is not the malaysian one. This is from China and it's linked to Beijin Daily which is in fact the same mother group that got Yanxi palace banned so...yeah hyx might be over. Whelp!
