I think a lot of people don't know what is actually censored in cdramas. I actually saw list once made by a chinese person who explained each item and it's not what everyone thinks. As long as there is plausible deniability, basically anything goes. What is really banned is sxtreme content, that includes any extreme like nudity, violence, same gender relations, whatever, and anti-government propaganda, and historical inaccuracies. Mythology is fine in costume dramas but not in modern time ones. Transmigration is officially banned but if they don't call it that and imply it's actually anything else like a dream or a game or a hallucination, then it's fine.

You know what pisses me off? The fact that the stuff with ZW and Alibaba are totally connected to *other* stuff and the banning of supertopics is because of zhao liying's fans who just started a ridiculous, childish petition against WYB of all people and all these people who hate hyx and 2ha for whatever reason, are using these things to go...oh this show is toast! Like, why?!?!?!?! It's literally not connected to any of these people. People can be so vicious and secretive about it. Like some people will clearly have a bias against queer content and always be super judgemental about it until a BL show gets popular, then they'll suddenly become big fans and profit from it only to drop their act again once their profiting game dwindles. It's just so funny to see them talk about the "immoral" ways of the ent business (which sure, smoking is evil. We all know the entertainment industry is extremely dirty and corrupt. It's not news) but then when the conversation is around their favorites, having unhinged fans, illegitimate children, extremely unfair high wages for sh!t roles, being high maintenance and all that is just a cute quirky personality trait. I have noticed that Ax usually just parrots whatever rumor is most popular in mainland and sometimes I think she actively hates dramas because she always gets very excited when something bad is happening over there and always seems to support whatever new restriction is being set on c-ent which I personally find ironic, given her role in the international fanbase of c-ent scene.

Yes, the ban scares me so much. That's the only thing that really scares me. I've become immune to airing rumors ever since April didn't deliver, even though it was too naive to believe the show would be ready so fast I fell for that one...never again!

Well I never thought this show was coming this summer so I wasn't upset about 20th or the other rumor at all. I always thought the show would come some time around October so I still believe that.
